Ole Olsen Evenstad (born 1766)
Ole Olsen Evenstad (23 September 1766 – 20 February 1833) was a Norwegian farmer and elected official who served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Biography Ole Olsen Evenstad was born on the Evenstad farm in Stor-Elvdal parish in Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of a farm owner and local sheriff, Ole Olsen Evenstad (1739–1806) and Gertrude Helgesdatter Søstu Stai (1745–1820). Evenstad later ran the family farm and also served as sheriff in his district. Ole Olsen Evenstad was elected to the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814, representing the constituency of Hedemarkens Amt (now Hedmark). Medal For Outstanding Civic Service
The Medal for Outstanding Civic Service or ''Medaljen for Borgerdåd'' is the second highest ranked Norwegian medal. In spring 2004 the medal ceased to be awarded. The medal was first established by Royal Resolution April 10, 1819 and later altered by Royal Resolution April 13, 1844. It was awarded by the cabinet meeting presided over by the King after a recommendation by the Norwegian Ministry of Justice. It is divided into two grades: the first class is in gold and the second class is in silver. Recipients of the Medal for Outstanding Civic Achievement are ranked 2nd in the Norwegian order of precedence, after recipients of the War Cross with sword and before holders of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav. Ole Olsen Evenstad (1781 – 16 April 1833) was a Norwegian politician. He was elected to the first session of the Norwegian Parliament in 1833, representing the constituency of Hedemarkens Amt. He worked as a farmer there. Hedmark University of Applied Sciences ( no, Høgskolen i Hedmark) was a state university college in Hedmark, Norway, established in 1994. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig
Andreas Aagaard Kiønig (8 August 1771 – 1 March 1856) was a Norwegian lawyer and judge. He served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig was born on Opaker Gård at Grue in Hedmark, Norway. He graduated as cand.jur. in 1790. He was elected to the Norwegian Constituent Assembly in 1814, representing the constituency of Hedemarkens Amt. He supported the independence party (''Selvstendighetspartiet''). At that time he worked as a district stipendiary magistrate (''sorenskriver'') in the traditional district of Østerdalen. He was then appointed Supreme Court Assessor the same year. In 1836, when appointment of a new Chief Justice was due, Kiønig was a candidate, but the position was given to Georg Jacob Bull. As a result, Kiønig retired as a Supreme Court Assessor. Claus Bendeke
Claus Bendeke (3 December 1763 – 29 May 1828) was a Norwegian jurist and government official. He served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Claus Bendeke was born at Vang in Hamar in Hedmark, Norway. He was the son of Magistrate and Chancellor Andreas Bendeke (1712-1780). In 1783, he became a student at Elsinore school in Helsingør and in 1788 he studied law. In 1795, he became merchant and whaling inspector in Greenland from a service location in Nuuk. He served as District Governor in Hedmark from 1804 to 1816. In September 1816, he was appointed Assessor in Christiania (now Oslo) Court and was Counselor from 1823. Bendek was married to Magdalene Cathrine Pihl (1787-1843), daughter of Abraham Pihl. The couple made their home at Kjonerud, a farm in Stange where they raised their family. Eidsvoll (; sometimes written as ''Eidsvold'') is a municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the Romerike traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Sundet. General information Etymology The first element is the genitive case of the word ''eid'' (Old Norse: ''eið'') and the last element is ''voll'' (Old Norse: ''vǫllr'') which means "meadow" or "field". The meaning of the word ''eid'' in this case is "a road passing around a waterfall". People from the districts around the lake ( Mjøsa) who were sailing down the river Vorma, and people from Romerike sailing up the same river, both had to enter this area by passing the Sundfossen waterfall.
