Oldfield is an unincorporated community in Christian County, Missouri, United States. It is located southeast of Sparta at the intersection of Route 125 and Route T. Chadwick lies to the southeast on Route 125. The elevation is 1,381 feet. The community is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. There are 114 counties and one independent city in the U.S. State of Missouri. Following the Louisiana Purchase and the admittance of Louisiana into the United States in 1812, five counties were formed out of the Missouri Territory at the first general assembly: Cape Girardeau, New Madrid, Saint Charles, Saint Louis, and Ste. Christian County is located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, its population was 88,842. Its county seat is Ozark. The county was organized in 1859 and is named after William Christian, a Kentucky soldier of the American Revolutionary War. Sparta is a city in north central Christian County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,756 at the 2010 census. Sparta is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. Route 125 (Missouri)
Route 125 runs between U.S. Route 65 at Fair Grove and the Arkansas state line, where it continues as Highway 125. After the road crosses into Marion County, Arkansas, the highway crosses Bull Shoals Lake via a free ferry. It is a two-lane road its entire length. Near Chadwick, the highway enters the Mark Twain National Forest and passes through this most of the way to Arkansas. It also overlaps U.S. Route 160 for several miles at Rueter.
