Olavsrosa (St. Olaf's rose) is a seal of quality, awarded by the ideal Norwegian organization Norsk Kulturarv/Norwegian Heritage. The goal of the foundation Norsk Kulturarv is to contribute to the protection of Norwegian cultural heritage through sustainable use, under the motto: «Protection through use» Olavsrosa is awarded to firms and institutions that offer activities and experiences of particularly high standard, with regard to the presentation and use of Norwegian cultural history, and currently (2016) 131 firms and institutions have been awarded this seal of quality. Ytste Skotet
Ytste Skotet is a complete, preserved, historical farm located in Fjord Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The historic farmyard and museum, which is part of the Sunnmøre Museum Foundation, is located on the steep shores of the Storfjorden in the Sunnmøre district of the county. The farm is located across the fjord from the village of Dyrkorn. The ''Storfjordens Venner'' association owns ''Ytste Skotet'' and has orchestrated the restoration of the farm. The foundation ''Ytste Skotet'' administers the farm's operation and maintenance, employs workers, and serves as general manager. Name Ytste Skotet is one of three related farms. The other two are ''Me-Skotet'' (''me'' is local dialect for "middle") and ''Inste Skotet'' (''inste'' is local dialect for innermost). SS Bjoren
SS ''Bjoren'' is a wood-fuelled steamboat that travels the route between Bygland-Byglandsfjord, Bygland and Bygland- Ose on the lake Byglandsfjorden in the municipality of Bygland in the Setesdal valley. She runs on Sundays in July. Using wood as fuel is a natural choice as there was, and still is, good local access to it. Using wood to fuel the steam engine contributes to make ''Bjoren'' a unique part of Norway's cultural heritage and a floating technical museum. History The steamer ''Bjoren'' was built at Akers Mekaniske Verksted in 1866. She was long, had a engine and was certified for up to 92 passengers. In 1897, the boat was extended by and in 1914 she was further extended by . She had a new boiler installed and new engine that produced . Today the boat is long and weighs . Nordre Ekre
Nordre Ekre (cadastral unit number 189, property unit number 1) is a farm in the lower part of the valley Heidal in Sel, Norway, Sel municipality, Norway. Some of the buildings on the farm date back from the 18th century. In 2004 the then owners were awarded the Norwegian Heritage sign of quality, Olavsrosa, for outreach activities and sustainable use of Norwegian heritage. Nordre Ekre has been an agritourism farm since 1995, in the early years based mainly on self-catering. Today the farmland is leased to neighbouring farmers, and the tourist offering has been expanded with a restaurant. The guest rooms have also been upgraded, but with the emphasis on retaining the original style, with exposed log walls and the original soapstone fireplaces.
