Olav Voss
Olav Voss (December 28, 1864 – May 17, 1912) was a Norwegian actor. After receiving his '' examen artium'' in 1882, he made his debut at the Christiania Theater and was later employed at the National Theater in Bergen, at the Carl Johan Theater in Kristiania, and at the Fahlstrøm Theater. After a brief engagement in 1898 at the Christiania Theater, he moved to the National Theater, which had opened in 1899. He was remembered for his roles as Jensen in Edgar Høyer's ''Familien Jensen'' (The Jensen Family), as the chef Pastor Manders in Sigurd Eldegard's ''Fossegrimen'' (The Waterfall Sprite), and as Professor Dupont in Melchior Lengyel's ''Taifun'' (Typhoon). Voss was the head of the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1899 to 1901 and a board member of the Kristiania Art Society. Melchior Lengyel (born Menyhért Lebovics; hu, Lengyel Menyhért; 12 January 1880 – 23 October 1974) was a Hungarian writer, dramatist, and film screenwriter. Biography Lengyel was born Menyhért Lebovics in Balmazújváros, Hungary. He started his career as a journalist. He worked first in Kassa (Košice), then later in Budapest. His first play, ''A nagy fejedelem'' (''The Great Prince'') was performed by the Thalia Company in 1907. The Hungarian National Theatre performed his next drama ''A hálás utókor'' (''The Grateful Posterity'') in 1908 for which he received the Vojnits Award from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, given every year for the best play. Vestre Gravlund
Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Norwegian Actors' Equity Association
The Norwegian Actors' Equity Association ( no, Norsk Skuespillerforbund) is an association of Norwegian actors. Its main purpose is to improve actors' working conditions and to protect the artistic, judicial and financial interests of actors in Norway. The association was established in 1898, after an initiative from actor Sigurd Asmundsen at a birthday party in 1897, followed by a preparatory meeting in April 1898, and a constituent meeting 27 October 1898. Sigurd Eldegard
Sigurd Eldegard (10 July 1866 – 30 January 1950) was a Norwegian actor, playwright and theatre director. He was born in Årdal to farmers Sjur Ingebrigtsen Eldegard and Johanne Jørgensdatter Vetti. He made his stage debut at Christiania Theater in 1891, where he continued acting for six years. He then played two years at Fahlstrøms teater and then at Sekondteatret. From 1901 to 1931 he was engaged at the Nationaltheatret, except for two years with Det Norske Teatret. He served as theatre director at Det Norske Teatret from 1918 to 1920.
