Olav Djupvik
Olav Djupvik (5 February 1931 – 31 May 2016) was a Norwegian politician with the Christian Democratic Party. He was born in Blaker as a teacher's son, and spent his professional career as a schoolteacher in Oslo, Askim, Rendalen and Lillehammer. He was a member of the executive committee of Lillehammer city council from 1971 to 1979. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The Christian Democratic Party ( nb, Kristelig Folkeparti, nn, Kristeleg Folkeparti, se, Risttalaš Álbmotbellodat, , KrF) is a Christian-democratic political party in Norway founded in 1933. The party is an observer member of the European People's Party (EPP). It currently holds three seats in the Parliament, having won 3.8% of the vote in the 2021 parliamentary election. The current leader of the party is Olaug Bollestad. The Christian Democrats' leader from 1983 to 1995, Kjell Magne Bondevik, was one of the most prominent political figures in modern Norway, serving as Prime Minister from 1997 to 2000 and 2001 to 2005. Under the old leadership of Bondevik and Valgerd Svarstad Haugland, the party was to some extent radicalized and moved towards the left. Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Blaker is a village and a former municipality of Akershus county, Norway. History The municipality was established on 1 July 1919, when Aurskog was split in two. At the time of establishment, Blaker had a population of 2,533. On 1 January 1962, Blaker with its then 2,345 inhabitants was merged with Sørum to form the new Sørum municipality.
