Olaf Lurvik
Olaf Lurvik (born 23 September 1963) is a Norwegian former professional road bicycle racer. He was professional between 1988 and 1991, and represented the teams Peugeot and Toshiba. In 1991, he was one of four Norwegians that entered the Tour de France, alongside Dag Otto Lauritzen, Atle Kvålsvoll and Atle Pedersen. Tour De France
The Tour de France () is an annual men's multiple-stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally passing through nearby countries. Like the other Grand Tours (the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España), it consists of 21 stages, each a day long, over the course of 23 days, coinciding with the Bastille Day holiday. Dag Otto Lauritzen
Dag Otto Lauritzen (born 12 September 1956) is a Norwegian people, Norwegian television personality and retired professional cycle sport, cyclist. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles he won a bronze medal in the Cycling at the 1984 Summer Olympics – Men's individual road race, individual road race. He was the first Norwegian to win a stage of the Tour de France, which he did on Bastille Day in 1987 Tour de France, 1987 at Luz Ardiden. Over his career he rode the Tour de France eight times. Lauritzen began cycling to recuperate from a military parachuting injury, and switched careers from police officer to cyclist. Atle Kvålsvoll
Atle Sturla Kvålsvoll (born 10 April 1962) is a Norwegian former professional road cyclist. He rode the Tour de France six times between 1988 and 1994, finishing four times. His best performance was in 1990, when he finished 26th and contributed to Greg LeMond's winning the yellow jersey. He competed in the individual road race event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Kvålsvoll finished second in the American Tour DuPont in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and then finished 3rd in 1993. He also won a stage in 1991 and 1992. Kvålsvoll is employed by the Norwegian sports organisation Olympiatoppen and was Thor Hushovd's coach. In 2011 he has also accepted a role as directeur sportif for UCI Continental Team Plussbank Cervélo. The race was won by Miguel Indurain, whose Banesto team also won the team classification.
