Ola H. Kveli
Ola Hansen Kveli (23 April 1921 – 22 April 2003) was a Norwegian politician for the Liberal Party and later the Liberal People's Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 1969. During his second term, in December 1972, Kveli joined the Liberal People's Party which split from the Liberal Party over disagreements of Norway's proposed entry to the European Economic Community. Like most of the Liberal People's Party representatives, he was not re-elected in 1973. He had previously served in the position of deputy representative during the terms 1961–1965 and 1965–1969. During both these terms he served as a regular representative meanwhile Bjarne Lyngstad was appointed to the cabinet Lyng (1963) and cabinet Borten (from 1965). The Liberal Party ( no, Venstre, lit=Left, V; se, Gurutbellodat) is a centrist political party in Norway. It was founded in 1884 and it is the oldest political party in Norway. It is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum, and it is a liberal party which has over the time enacted reforms such as parliamentarism, freedom of religion, universal suffrage, and state schooling. For most of the late 19th and early 20th century, it was Norway's largest and dominant political party, but in the postwar era it lost most of its support and became a relatively small party. The temperance movement is a social movement promoting temperance or complete abstinence from consumption of alcoholic beverages. Oddbjørn Nordset
Oddbjørn Karmhus Nordset (born 25 March 1946) is a Norwegian civil servant and politician for the Centre Party. He took an agricultural education, graduating from the Norwegian College of Agriculture with the cand.agric. degree in 1973. Before enrolling at the Norwegian College of Agriculture, he was a secretary for the Centre Party in Nord-Trøndelag. After three years as a consultant in the Ministry of Agriculture from 1973 to 1976, Nordset was appointed as a county agronomist in Nord‑Trøndelag. Then, after a period from 1983 to 1986 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, he was promoted to chief county agronomist. He remained in this post until 1991, when he served for two years as acting County Governor of Nord-Trøndelag. He was then the Assisting County Governor from 1994 to 2002 and 2003 to 2008. Leif Granli
Leif Granli (born 25 September 1909 in Hegra, died 17 March 1988) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 1945, and was re-elected on six occasions. From 1963 to 1965, while the fourth cabinet Gerhardsen held office, Granli was appointed Minister of Agriculture. During this period his seat in parliament was taken by Hans Mikal Solsem. Granli was later Vice President of the Storting from 1967 to 1972, and from 2 October 1972 to 30 September 1973 he was President of the Storting. On the local level he was a member of the executive committee of Frol municipal council from 1933 to 1949, except for the years 1940–1945 during the German occupation of Norway, and later a member of Levanger municipality council from 1959 to 1967. The Liberal People's Party ( no, Det Liberale Folkepartiet, DLF) was a classical liberal Norwegian political party created in 1992 by some of the members of the old Liberal People's Party. History During the 1990s, some of the Progress Party's members considered the party to have become less liberal than it had been in its earlier days. These members of the Progress Party then decided to join the DLF. The DLF then took increasingly more classically liberal viewpoints on most issues, emerging as a promoter of economic liberalism and laissez-faire capitalism. The party's politics states that the state should only protect individuals' rights through police, courts of law and a military service.
