Leif Granli
Leif Granli (born 25 September 1909 in Hegra, died 17 March 1988) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag in 1945, and was re-elected on six occasions. From 1963 to 1965, while the fourth cabinet Gerhardsen held office, Granli was appointed Minister of Agriculture. During this period his seat in parliament was taken by Hans Mikal Solsem. Granli was later Vice President of the Storting from 1967 to 1972, and from 2 October 1972 to 30 September 1973 he was President of the Storting. On the local level he was a member of the executive committee of Frol municipal council from 1933 to 1949, except for the years 1940–1945 during the German occupation of Norway, and later a member of Levanger municipality council from 1959 to 1967. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. The Minister of Agriculture and Food ( no, Landbruks- og matministeren) is a councilor of state and chief of the Norway's Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The ministry is responsible for issues related to agriculture, forestry and food. Major subordinate agencies include the Norwegian Agriculture Authority, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority and Statskog. The position was created on 31 March 1900, along with the ministry, and Ole Anton Qvam was the inaugural officeholder. Fifty people from eight parties have held the office. During the German occupation of Norway from 1940 to 1945, the office was both held by a German puppet government and an elected government in London. Until 2004 the position was known as the Minister of Agriculture. Ole Bae
Ole Bae (18 August 1902 – 28 September 1972) was a Norwegian civil servant. He was born in Bremnes as a son of teacher Jakob Bae (1866–1963) and Anna Fladvad (1871–1954). He took commerce school in 1921, and worked his entire career in county administration. He started in Finnmark from 1922 to 1924, then after spending the year 1925 in Spain he was hired as a civil servant at the Nord-Trøndelag County Governor's office in 1926. He was County Governor of Nord-Trøndelag from 1964 to 1972. Unlike many County Governors, he had no background in national politics, but had been a member of Steinkjer city council. ''Arbeider-Avisa'' (founded as ''Arbeider-Avisen'', from 1946 ''Arbeider-Avisa'', from 1993 ''Avisa Trondheim'') was a daily newspaper published in Trondheim, Norway, started in 1924 and defunct in 1996. Levanger is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the district of Innherred. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Levanger. Some of the notable villages in the municipality include Alstadhaug, Ekne, Hokstad, Markabygd, Momarka, Frol, Mule, Nesset, Okkenhaug, Ronglan, Skogn, and Åsen.
