Oklahoma State Highway 100
State Highway 100 (abbreviated SH-100 or OK-100) is a long (88.4 km) state highway in eastern Oklahoma. It connects Interstate 40 with the Arkansas state line near Stilwell. It has no lettered spur routes. Route description SH-100 begins at I-40 Exit 287. It heads north to meet US-64 in Webbers Falls, and overlaps it until Gore. In the Gore area, it has a brief overlap with State Highway 10 as well. After Gore, it splits off on its own and heads roughly northeast. It meets State Highway 10A near Lake Tenkiller, where it turns due east. Near Box, it meets State Highway 82, where it turns north and overlaps. After concurrent with SH-82, SH-100 splits off on its own and heads eastward, meeting US-59 south of Stilwell. It then crosses the state line into Arkansas, becoming Arkansas Highway 156. I-40 Bridge Disaster
The I-40 bridge disaster was a bridge collapse that occurred southeast of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma, United States at 7:45 a.m. on May 26, 2002. Freight barges being transported on the Arkansas River collided with a pier supporting the Interstate 40 road bridge crossing the river. The resulting failure of the supports caused a section of the bridge to collapse, killing 14 people and injuring another 11. The collision was determined to have resulted from the captain of the barges' towboat losing consciousness. Collision and collapse Joe Dedmon, captain of the towboat ''Robert Y. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. State Highway 51, abbreviated to SH-51 or OK-51, is a major state highway in Oklahoma, United States. It runs for east–west across the state, running from the Texas state line to Arkansas. Arkansas Highway 156
Highway 156 (AR 156, Ark. 156, and Hwy. 156) is a designation for three east–west state highways in Washington County, Arkansas. The first segment was created in 1937, with two more created in 1973. All are minor state highways established to provide system connectivity and are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Former segments of Highway 156 in eastern Washington County and Prairie Grove were deleted in 1981 and 2007, respectively. Lake Tenkiller
Tenkiller Ferry Lake, or more simply, "Lake Tenkiller," is a reservoir in eastern Oklahoma formed by the damming of the Illinois River (Oklahoma), Illinois River. The earth-fill dam was constructed between 1947 and 1952 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers for purposes of flood control, hydroelectricity, hydroelectric power generation, water supply and recreation.
