Oiselle, French for bird, is a women's running apparel company started by Sally Bergesen in 2007. They also sponsor a professional team, Littlewing Athletics, coached by Lauren Fleshman Lauren Fleshman (born September 26, 1981) is an American runner, coach, author, and retired professional track and field athlete. She was the U.S. 5000 meters champion in 2006 and 2010, and competed at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in .... They were the first brand to sponsor a pregnant athlete in 2013 and their other runners have included Kara Goucher and Allyson Felix. Oiselle was the first women-only brand to sponsor college athletes when they provided the uniforms for Yale's track and cross country teams. Lauren Fleshman
Lauren Fleshman (born September 26, 1981) is an American runner, coach, author, and retired professional track and field athlete. She was the U.S. 5000 meters champion in 2006 and 2010, and competed at the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2003, 2005, and 2011. In the 5000 meter final of the 2011 IAAF World Championships she finished in 7th place, equalling what was at the time the highest ever finish by an American woman in that event. Fleshman competed in a variety of middle and long distance events, ranging from the 1500 meters and mile to the 5,000 meters. Collegiate career After graduating from Canyon High School in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Clarita, Fleshman attended Stanford University. At Stanford, Fleshman was a 15-time All-American and five-time NCAA champion. Kara Goucher
Kara Goucher (born Kara Grgas on July 9, 1978) is an American long-distance runner. She was the 10,000 meters silver medalist at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics and represented the USA at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics. She made her marathon debut in 2008 and finished third the following year at the Boston Marathon. She competed collegiately for the University of Colorado and was a three-time NCAA champion (twice in track and once in cross country). Personal life Goucher was born Kara Grgas in Queens, New York. When she was four years old her family moved to Duluth, Minnesota, after her father was killed by a drunk driver on the Harlem River Drive. When her mother remarried, Kara took her stepfather's name and was known as Kara Grgas-Wheeler. She ran in high school for Duluth East. Allyson Michelle Felix (born November 18, 1985) is a retired American track and field athlete who competed in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters. She specialized in the 200 meters from 2003 to 2013, then gradually shifted to the 400 meters later in her career. At 200 meters, Felix is the 2012 Olympic champion, a three-time world champion (2005 –2009), a two-time Olympic silver medalist ( 2004 and 2008), and the 2011 world bronze medalist.
