Ohio State Route 669
State Route 669 (SR 669) is an east–west state highway in Perry and Morgan Counties in the US state of Ohio. The western terminus of SR 669 is at an intersection with SR 13, southeast of Somerset. The eastern terminus of SR 669 at an intersection with SR 37 and SR 78. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through woodland, farmland, and residential properties. For some of its path, SR 669 runs generally parallel to the west of Muskingum River. SR 669 was commissioned in 1937, along a similar route to today. Somerset, Ohio
Somerset is a village in Perry County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,481 at the 2010 census. It is located 9.5 miles north of the county seat New Lexington and has a dedicated historical district. Saint Joseph Church, the oldest Catholic church in Ohio, is located just outside Somerset on State Route 383. Perry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 35,408. Its county seat is New Lexington. It was established on March 1, 1818, from parts of Fairfield, Washington and Muskingum counties. The county is named for Oliver Hazard Perry, a hero of the War of 1812. State Route 13 is a north–south state highway in the northern and southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. It is the tenth longest state route in Ohio . Its southern terminus is at State Route 550 near Athens, and its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 6 in Huron. Muskingum River
The Muskingum River (Shawnee: ') is a tributary of the Ohio River, approximately long, in southeastern Ohio in the United States. An important commercial route in the 19th century, it flows generally southward through the eastern hill country of Ohio. Via the Ohio, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The river is navigable for much of its length through a series of locks and dams.
