Oh Su-hyun
Su-Hyun Oh (born 23 May 1996) is a South Korea-born Australian professional golfer. She became the number one ranked amateur in the world in October 2013. Born in Busan, South Korea, Oh moved to Australia at the age of eight and has played golf since the age of nine. In 2009, at 12, she was the youngest player to ever qualify for the Women's Australian Open. She finished tied for second at the 2013 Australian Ladies Masters, a tournament on the ALPG Tour and Ladies European Tour. Oh turned professional in the fall of 2014. She made it to the final stage of the 2014 LPGA Qualifying School, but failed to earn an LPGA Tour card, leaving her with eligibility on the satellite Symetra Tour. Australian Girls' Amateur
The Australian Girls' Amateur is the national junior golf championship of Australia for girls. It was first played in 1953. It is run by Golf Australia. History From 1953 to 1983 the event was for "juniors" (under-21) and was played in conjunction with the stroke-play qualifying stage of the Australian Women's Amateur. From 1953 to 1973 and from 1978 to 1983 qualification was over 36-holes but from 1974 to 1977 it was over 72 holes. However in 1974 the junior event was still decided by the scores over the first 36 holes, while in 1975 and 1976 the junior event was decided over the first 54 holes. From 1984 it became a separate event. From 1984 to 1999 it was played as a match-play event with a 36-hole final. In 1993 the age limit was reduced from 21 to 18. In 2000 it became a 54-hole stroke-play event, before being extended to 72 holes in 2012. 2014 Espirito Santo Trophy
The 2014 Espirito Santo Trophy took place 2–7 September at the Karuizawa 72 Golf East, on its Iriyama and Oshitate courses in Karuizawa, Japan. It was the 26th women's golf World Amateur Team Championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event. There were 50 team entries, each with two or three players. Each team played two rounds at the Iriyama Course and two rounds at the Oshitate Course. The leading teams played the fourth round at Iriyama. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Team Australia won their third title, with a 29-under-par score of 547, two strokes ahead of silver medalist team Canada. Defending champions, team South Korea, took the bronze medal on third place one more stroke back. Espirito Santo Trophy
The Espirito Santo Trophy (World Women's Amateur Team Championships) is a biennial world amateur team golf championship for women organised by the International Golf Federation. The inaugural event was held in 1964. It was instituted by the French Golf Federation in an agreement with the United States Golf Association. It was planned by Lally Segard, at the time known as Vicomtesse de Saint Sauveur, from France and Mrs. Henri Prunaret from America. Segard also asked her friends Ricardo and Silvia Espirito Santo, from Portugal, to donate a trophy for the event, which they did. They had originally bought the golden cup, which had belonged to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, for an international Portuguese event that was not played anymore. The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a women's major golf championships, major championship in Professional golf tours#Women's tours, women's professional golf. The Evian Championship
The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. Women's PGA Championship
The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Founded in 1972 by singer and actress Dinah Shore and Colgate-Palmolive chairman David Foster, it was played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California from its inception through 2022. Grace Kim (born 13 December 2000) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She won the TPS Sydney on the ALPG Tour in 2021 and 2022. Florentyna Parker (born 20 June 1989) is an English professional golfer born in Germany. Amateur career In 2006, Parker was in the training squad for the 2006 Curtis Cup. She competed in the 2008 Curtis Cup where she won her singles match. Professional career In 2010, Parker won the ABN AMRO Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour by two strokes. Katherine Kirk
Katherine Kirk (born 26 February 1982) is a professional golfer from Australia, currently playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the ALPG Tour. She played under her maiden name, Katherine Hull, until her marriage to Tom Kirk on 2 August 2012 and also under the name Katherine Hull-Kirk.
