Offenbach Ost Station
Offenbach (Main) Ost station is the second most important station after Offenbach Hauptbahnhof of Offenbach am Main in the German state of Hesse. Today it is served exclusively by the Rhine-Main S-Bahn. Although Offenbach Hauptbahnhof is served by some Regional-Express services and a few intercity services each day it is rated as a category 4 station, while Offenbach Ost station is now rated as a category 3 station. History Offenbach Ost station was opened on 15 November 1873 on the Frankfurt-Hanau line. On 30 October 1896 the Rodgau Railway (Offenbach–Reinheim line) was opened. Line S1 of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn has been operating on the Rodgau railway since 2003, not to Reinheim, but only as far as Rödermark-Ober-Roden station. S1 (Rhine-Main S-Bahn)
The S1 service of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main system bearing the KBS (German scheduled railway route) number 645.1 is an important railway connection running east–west. It operates between the Hesse state capital Wiesbaden and the southern Offenbach rural district serving the densely populated area along the Main river. With a route length of over , 30 stations and a journey time of 87 minutes, it is the longest S-Bahn service in the Rhine-Main area. The average speed of travel is about 49.72 km/h (30.9 mph) and a station distance of about . Usually DBAG Class 423 railcars are used on this service. Rödermark
Rödermark is a town in the Offenbach (district), Offenbach district in the ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Darmstadt (region), Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany, southeast of Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main and northeast of Darmstadt. Geography Location The town lies mostly in the ''Messeler Hügelland'', a part of the Lower Main Plain with gentle hills. Hochheim Station
Hochheim station is situated on the Frankfurt–Wiesbaden line (line number 3603; timetable section 645.1). It is in the town of Hochheim am Main, southwest of Frankfurt in the German state of Hesse. It is on the Taunus Railway (german: Taunus-Eisenbahn) from Wiesbaden to Frankfurt. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. Frankfurt-Höchst Station
The Frankfurt-Höchst station is an important station in the Frankfurt district of Höchst and is the second largest station in the city with twelve tracks. It is currently mainly used by S-Bahn, suburban and regional services. It is the most important public transport node in western Frankfurt. Offenbach Hauptbahnhof
Offenbach am Main Hauptbahnhof is a railway station serving the German city of Offenbach am Main. It is located on the Frankfurt–Bebra railway/ South Main line between Frankfurt and Hanau on the south bank of the Main. It is also the starting point of the Rodgau Railway, via Obertshausen, Rodgau and Ober-Roden to Dieburg (originally to Reinheim). History The station was built from 1872 to 1873 during the construction of the Frankfurt–Bebra railway and was given an entrance building in Renaissance Revival style. It was commissioned by the ''Königliche Eisenbahndirektion'' ( Royal Railway Division) of Frankfurt. Because of the development of the city around the line which was originally laid on the same level as the roads, the railway was put on an embankment between 1912 and 1926 so that the increasing road traffic could run under it. Offenbach-Bieber
Bieber is a village in Hesse, Germany, with a total population of 16,137 as of 2020. Since 1938 it has been a ''Stadtteil'' of Offenbach am Main. Geography A small river, a tributary of the Rodau called ''Bieber'' flows through the village. Niedernhausen station serves the municipality of Niedernhausen in the German state of Hesse. It is the most important station on the Main-Lahn Railway between the stations of Frankfurt-Höchst and Eschhofen in Limburg an der Lahn.
