The counties of Croatia ( hr, hrvatske županije) are the primary administrative subdivisions of the Republic of Croatia. Since they were re-established in 1992, Croatia has been divided into 20 counties and the capital city of Zagreb, which has the authority and legal status of both a county and a city (separate from the surrounding Zagreb County). Sisak-Moslavina County ( hr, Sisačko-moslavačka županija) is a Croatian Counties of Croatia, county in eastern Central Croatia and southwestern Slavonia. It is named after the city of Sisak and the region Moslavina just across the river Sava. According to 2021 census it is inhabited by 141,000 people. This county contains the Ancient Rome, ancient Roman city of Siscia—today's Sisak. Siscia was the largest city of the region back then, a Pannonian capital, likely due to its position on the confluence of the Kupa and Sava rivers. The city's patron saint is its first Christianity, Christian bishop, Quirinus of Sescia, St. Kvirin, who was tortured and almost killed during Diocletian's persecution of Christians. Sisak
Sisak (; hu, Sziszek ; also known by other alternative names) is a city in central Croatia, spanning the confluence of the Kupa, Sava and Odra rivers, southeast of the Croatian capital Zagreb, and is usually considered to be where the Posavina (Sava basin) begins, with an elevation of 99 m. The city's total population in 2011 was 47,768 of which 33,322 live in the urban settlement (naselje). D36 (Croatia)
D36 is a state road in central Croatia connecting Kupa River area and the city of Sisak to Croatian motorway network at the A3 motorway Popovača interchange and to the D1 state road in Karlovac in immediate vicinity of the A1 motorway Karlovac interchange. The road is long. The road, as well as all other state roads in Croatia, is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company. Relocation of the route The D36 state road is planned to be rerouted so that it would connect Donja Zenčina interchange on the A1 motorway and the existing route serviced by the D36. The existing road is planned to be diverted between Gradec Pokupski and Lijevo Sredičko to the west, while the road to the east from that section would remain unchanged.
