Odoardo Farnese (12 August 1666 – 6 September 1693) was the eldest son of Duke Ranuccio II Farnese, Duke of Parma, Ranuccio II Farnese, Duke of Parma and Piacenza. Odoardo was the ''Hereditary Prince of Parma'' from his birth until his death. He was the father of the famously domineering Elisabeth Farnese, Elisabeth, Queen of Spain. Odoardo Farnese, Duke Of Parma
Odoardo Farnese (28 April 1612 – 11 September 1646), also known as Odoardo I Farnese to distinguish him from his grandson Odoardo II Farnese, was Duke of Parma, Piacenza and Castro from 1622 to 1646. Biography Odoardo was the eldest legitimate son of Ranuccio I Farnese and his wife, Margherita Aldobrandini. After Ranuccio's natural son and his potential rival, Ottavio, was relegated in a prison, he reigned initially under the regency of his uncle Odoardo Farnese and, after the latter's death, of his mother, Margherita Aldobrandini. He came of age in 1628 and in the same year he married Margherita de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany Cosimo II de' Medici's daughter. Odoardo Beccari
Odoardo Beccari (16 November 1843 – 25 October 1920) was an Italian botanist famous for his discoveries in Indonesia, New Guinea, and Australia. He has been called the greatest botanist to ever study Malesia. Life Youth and education (1843–1864) Odoardo Beccari was born in Florence as the third child of Giuseppe di Luigi Beccari and the first child of Antonietta Minucci. After he lost his mother in early infancy and his father in 1849, he was brought up by a maternal uncle Minuccio Minucci. From 1853–1861, he attended the prestigious secondary school Real Collegio in Lucca. Here, one of his teachers was abbot Ignazio Mezzetti (1821–1876), a passionate collector of botanical specimens, who inspired him to pursue botany and assemble a herbarium. Odoardo Farnese (cardinal)
Odoardo Farnese (6 December 1573 – 21 February 1626) was an Italian nobleman, the second son of Alessandro Farnese, Duke of Parma and Maria of Portugal (1538-1577), Maria of Portugal, known for his patronage of the arts. He became a Cardinal (Catholicism), Cardinal of the Catholic Church in 1591, and briefly acted as regent of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza for his nephew Odoardo Farnese, Duke of Parma, Odoardo from 1622 to 1626. Cardinal Odoardo is probably best known today for commissioning the Bolognese artist Annibale Carracci to fresco the Camerino in the Palazzo Farnese in Rome. Odoardo Focherini
Odoardo Focherini (sometimes referred to as Edward Focherini; 6 June 1907 – 27 December 1944) was an Italian Roman Catholic journalist. He issued false documents to Jews during World War II in order for them to escape the Nazi regime but was arrested and sent to a concentration camp where he later died. Yad Vashem later recognized him as a Righteous Among the Nations in 1969 for his efforts. Focherini's beatification was held on 15 June 2013 in Modena under Pope Francis who had Cardinal Angelo Amato preside over the celebration on his behalf. Odoardo Barri (13 September 1844 – 21 January 1920) was the pseudonym of Edward Slater. He was born in Dublin and became a composer, music teacher and singer in Italy and Spain. After working in Italy and Spain, he opened the Odoardo Barri School of Voice Culture in London in 1882, and ran it until his death. Several noted singers studied under Barri and some went on to teach, e.g. John Trew Gray, who taught in Toronto and San Diego. Barri performed widely and over many years in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, e.g. at Hastings on the pier; in City Hall, Glasgow; Surrey Masonic Hall; Trowbridge, Bloomsbury and Belfast, either alone or with his wife. Odoardo Eugenio Giano Spadaro (16 January 1893 - 26 June 1965) was an Italian singer-songwriter and actor. Early life Spadaro was born in the quartiere of Santo Spirito in Florence, to Gustavo Spadaro and Mary Marchesini. Career He debuted on stage at seventeen years old and, taking the road into variety shows as a chansonnier, a fantasist and impersonator, he became an international celebrity when he replaced Maurice Chevalier at the Folies-Bergère in Paris. Odoardo Tabacchi (Valganna, 19 December 1836 - Milan, 23 March 1905) was an Italian sculptor. Biography Early life and education Odoardo Tabacchi was born in Valganna on 19 December 1836. He enrolled at the Brera Academy in Milan at the age of 14 in order to follow the courses of Benedetto Cacciatori (1794–1871); at the same time, he studied with Abbondio Sangiorgio. In 1858 he won the Pensionato Trienniale in sculpture, which enabled him to move first to Florence, in 1860 to Rome, and in 1861 to Naples. Alessandro Farnese (10 January 1635 – 18 February 1689) was an Italian military leader who was governor of the Habsburg Netherlands from 1678 to 1682. Odoardo Borrani (22 August 1833 – 14 September 1905) was an Italian painter associated with the Macchiaioli group. Biography He was born in Pisa. The Borrani family moved to Florence, where Odoardo enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1853. There, he studied under , Giuseppe Bezzuoli, and Enrico Pollastrini. Odoardo Perini (5 April 1671 – 29 December 1757) was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period, active in Verona. Biography He first apprenticed with Andrea Voltolino.
