Oberzeiring
Oberzeiring is a former municipality in the district of Murtal in Styria, Austria. Since the 2015 Styria municipal structural reform, it is part of the municipality Pölstal. Tauern Wind Park The Tauern Wind Park near Oberzeiring was the highest wind farm in the world at 1900m elevation when it began operating in 2002. The Wind Park consists of 13 Vestas V66-1.75 MW wind turbines, to be repowered by nine V112-3.45 MW turbines. The operator provides guided tours. Pölstal is a market town since 2015 in the Murtal District of Styria, Austria. The municipality, Pölstal, was created as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, at the end of 2014, by merging the former towns Oberzeiring, Bretstein, Sankt Johann am Tauern and Sankt Oswald-Möderbrugg. Styria Municipal Structural Reform
The Styria municipal structural reform (German: ''Steiermärkische Gemeindestrukturreform'') was a local government reform in the Austrian state of Styria, which was made effective January 1, 2015. This reform nearly halved the number of Styrian municipalities as the reduced from 542 to 287. The reform was intended to reduce costs and ease election of new town officials. The terms of the reform is formalized in the Styrian Municipality Structural Reform Act. (StGsrG). The law was adopted on December 17, 2013 by the , and promulgated on April 2, 2014.
