Oak Park is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Merri-bek local government area. Oak Park recorded a population of 6,714 at the 2021 census. Oak Park is bounded by New Road, Victoria Street, Kiama Street and Charlotte Street in the north, Watt Avenue and Pascoe Vale Road in the east, Moonee Ponds Creek in the west and Main Street in the south. History Oak Park was formed from part of the John Pascoe Fawkner estate. The name of the area derived from the name chosen by the purchasers of the Fawkner Estate. Oak Park was relatively slowly developed, as the area did not have a railway station until housing development had commenced in the 1950s. Oaks Park, formally known as the Oakland Baseball Park, and at times nicknamed Emeryville Park, was a baseball stadium in Emeryville, California. It was primarily used for baseball, and was the home field of the Oakland Oaks baseball team in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). It opened in 1913, and held 11,000 people (4,000 in the grandstand and 7,000 in the two bleachers). The Oaks played there until 1955. The ballpark was located within the city limits of Emeryville, between Oakland and Berkeley. Oaks Park is a small amusement park located south of downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. The park opened in May 1905 and is one of the oldest continually operating amusement parks in the country. Oak Park is a park and surrounding neighborhood in the Souris Valley in Minot, North Dakota. The wooded park is over 50-acres in size. In addition to the namesake oak trees, ash and elm trees are also commonly found in the park. The Souris Valley Birding Club meets regularly at the park to watch hooded mergansers, wood ducks, Canada geese, kingfishers, Great blue herons, and other birds. The eastern edge of the park borders the Souris River, also called the Mouse River. A small oxbow lake is also located in the park. Oak Park has numerous walking/biking trails, both paved and unpaved; a splash pad; and volleyball court. Oak Park, County Carlow
Oak Park is a Georgian house and estate in County Carlow, Ireland, located north of the town of Carlow. The estate was purchased by Irish MP Henry Bruen in 1775 and was substantially remodelled to its current form by the architect William Vitruvius Morrison in 1832. It remained in the family until 1957, being inhabited by Bruen's son and grandson, both MPs of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. In 1960 the property was sold to the state via the Irish Land Commission, and it ultimately became the headquarters of Teagasc in the 21st century.
