Oakland Activities Association
Oakland Activities Association is a Southeast Michigan high school athletics conference. It is made up of 23 schools located largely throughout Oakland County, with a single member located in Wayne County History The Oakland Activities Association was first formed with schools from an amalgamation of different leagues. The G.O.A.L. (Greater Oakland Activities League), Metro Suburban Activities Association and the Southeastern Michigan Association (plus one independently associated school) were all merged in 1994 into the Oakland Activities Association, with the goal being to form a more geographically-centered league. Berkley High School
Berkley High School is a public high school in Berkley, Michigan. Berkley High's colors are maroon and blue and the school's mascot is a bear. Berkley is well known for its college prep courses, high standardized test scores, and teachers and administrators. BHS offers 20+ Advanced Placement courses at its campus. Additional Advanced Placement courses and electives are available to students who elect to attend the Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts (CASA), an afternoon consortium school run jointly by Berkley and six neighboring school districts. Lamphere Public Schools
Lamphere Public Schools is a public school district in Madison Heights, Michigan. As of the 2019-2020 school year, the district served 2,426 students in nine schools. History The first Lamphere School was built in 1928 to serve kindergarten through 12th grades; the school still stands as Hiller Elementary. The school made headlines in the final years of the Great Depression when, in 1937, it refused to accept students who were then living in a tent city. The board claimed that most of the tent city residents were from other areas, that there was no room, teachers or money to provide for the tent city children's education. The Lamphere School would be expanded in 1945 with the addition of four new rooms. Because of the relocation of many Detroiters to the suburbs, Lamphere went on a half-day schedule in order to ease overcrowding in 1955, the year Madison Heights incorporated as a city. Oak Park High School is a public high school located in Oak Park, Michigan an inner suburb of Detroit. The school is part of the Oak Park School district. It serves about 1,130 students in grades 9 to 12 from Oak Park and surrounding communities around Detroit. Pontiac Central High School was one of two public high schools in Pontiac, Michigan, United States. It had been an accredited high school from September 4, 1849, until its closing on June 12, 2009.
