OK Radnički Kragujevac
Odbojkaški klub Radnički ( sr-Cyrl, Одбојкашки клуб Раднички), commonly referred to as Radnički Kragujevac, is a men's professional volleyball club based in Kragujevac, Serbia. It's a part of the Radnički multi-sports company. It plays in the Volleyball League of Serbia. History Volleyball club Radnički was founded in 1945. Throughout its history, the club was competing in all leagues of the former Yugoslavia. The first major success the club has achieved during the 1980s of the 20th century when they have won second place in the Yugoslav Second Division. The coach of the team at that time was Nikola Matijašević. Already the first season, the club have won fifth place. After the breakup of Yugoslavia, the club has achieved inferior results to qualify for the 1st B National League where he for played 3 seasons. The Jezero Hall is an indoor sporting arena located in Kragujevac, Serbia. The capacity of the arena is 5,320 people. Slobodan Kovač
Slobodan Kovač ( sr-cyrl, Слободан Ковач; born 13 September 1967) is a Serbian professional volleyball coach and former player, Olympic Champion at Sydney 2000, bronze medallist at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 and winner of 2019 European championship. Since the 2023–24 season, he serves as head coach for Halkbank Ankara. Career As a coach In 2014, he was appointed new head coach of the Iranian national volleyball team until the Olympic Games Rio 2016. That same year he led Iranian team to its first gold medal at Asian games. In 2017, he took charge of the Slovenian national volleyball team. Aleksandar Gigović
Aleksandar Gigović (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Гиговић; born April 20, 1983, in Kragujevac, Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia – died on July 28, 2007, Ivanjica, Serbia) was a Serbian volleyball player who spent his entire career at OK Radnički Kragujevac. Gigović started playing volleyball at the age of 11, initially as a setter and, later, as a receiver. In 2002, Dejan Brdović, the former captain of the Yugoslavia national team and head coach of OK Radnički Kragujevac at the time, acknowledged his talent. Shortly thereafter, Gigović joined the club, then played in the third tier of Serbian volleyball. Gigović helps his team reach the top-flight division, the Wiener Städtische Liga. At the end of the 2006-07 regular season, the club finished in first place in the standings but, following an injury to Gigović, lost to OK Ribnica Građevinar in the playoff semifinals. Aleksa Brđović (born July 29, 1993) is a Serbian volleyball player, a member of Serbia men's national volleyball team and Russian club Gazprom-Ugra Surgut, Polish Champion (2014).
