Slobodan Kovač
Slobodan Kovač ( sr-cyrl, Слободан Ковач; born 13 September 1967) is a Serbian professional volleyball coach and former player, Olympic Champion at Sydney 2000, bronze medallist at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 and winner of 2019 European championship. Since the 2023–24 season, he serves as head coach for Halkbank Ankara. Career As a coach In 2014, he was appointed new head coach of the Iranian national volleyball team until the Olympic Games Rio 2016. That same year he led Iranian team to its first gold medal at Asian games. In 2017, he took charge of the Slovenian national volleyball team. From 2010 to 2014, Kovač was head coach of the Italian team, Sir Safety Perugia. In 2016, he became new head coach of Halkbank Ankara. Sir Safety Umbria Volley is a professional Italy, Italian volleyball club based in Perugia. It plays in the highest level of the Italian Volleyball League. Prisma Volley
Gioiella Prisma Taranto is a professional Volleyball based in Taranto, Italy. It plays in Italian Volleyball League. It was created in 1997 under the name of Magna Grecia Volley, and now it is named Prisma Volley. History A first club was founded in 1997, by the president Antonio Di Battista, that moved the Magna Grecia Volley franchise from Matera to Taranto. The team, with the classical red and blu jerseys, start its first championship in Serie A2, achieving the promotion to Serie A1 at the end of 1999-2000 season. The team played two years in the first division with the sponsor names ''La Cascina'' and ''Vini Borgocanale'', before it went bankrupt. In 2002 the Magna Grecia Volley vice-president, Antonio Bongiovanni, founded the ''Taranto Volley''. 2019 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2019 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. For the first time the EuroVolley was held in four countries: France, Slovenia, Belgium and Netherlands. The tournament ran from 12 to 29 September 2019. Asian Games
The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games were regulated by the Asian Games Federation (AGF) from the first Games in New Delhi, India, until the 1978 Games. Since the 1982 Games, they have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), after the breakup of the Asian Games Federation. Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its seventh title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1948 with participation of six national teams. Being only participant from Eastern Europe, Czechoslovakia captured gold. The teams from Eastern Europe dominated at the tournament for next four decades.
