Oscar Dean Wyatt High School is a secondary school in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The school is located at 2400 East Seminary Drive. The school is a part of the Fort Worth Independent School District. The school serves sections of Fort Worth and the FWISD portion of Forest Hill. History The school was named after Oscar Dean Wyatt, a longtime principal of R. L. Paschal High School. When the school opened, the student body chose its mascot, the chaparral, from Fort Worth's American Basketball League team, the Ft Worth Chaparrals. South Hills High School is a 9-12 public high school in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. It is one of 14 zoned high schools in the Fort Worth Independent School District. History South Hills opened in August 1998 with only a freshman class. The first graduating class, and the first year of 9-12 was 2002. The original school consisted of buildings and property purchased from a private school, Trinity Valley School. Roughly 50 portable classrooms and the original Trinity Valley structures were used until a bond issue in 2000 allowed the school as it is now to be constructed. The ''Fort Worth Star-Telegram'' is an American daily newspaper serving Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the western half of the North Texas area known as the Metroplex. It is owned by The McClatchy Company. History In May 1905, Amon G. Carter accepted a job as an advertising space salesman in Fort Worth. Ronald Allridge
Ronald Keith Allridge (September 27, 1960 – June 8, 1995) and James Vernon Allridge III (November 14, 1962 – August 26, 2004) were American brothers and serial killers who killed three people and committed numerous armed robberies in Fort Worth, Texas during a crime spree in early 1985. For their crimes, the Allridge brothers were sentenced to death and subsequently executed by lethal injection; Ronald in 1995 and James in 2004.
