''The Moving True Story of a Woman Ahead of Her Time'' ( West Frisian title: ''Nynke'') is a 2001 Dutch drama film in the West Frisian language. It is a costume drama film about the life of Nienke van Hichtum and Dutch socialist and politician Pieter Jelles Troelstra. It is written and directed by Pieter Verhoeff. The film received a Golden Film (75,000 visitors) and Platinum Film in 2001. It also won two Golden Calves. Plot The film follows the life of Nynke from the time she first met Troelstra until their divorce. Hans De Wolf
Hans de Wolf (born 12 February 1955) is a Dutch television, documentary and film producer. He is also a guest tutor at the Netherlands Film Academy and the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. From 1985 to 1989 Hans was director of the Netherlands Film Festival. From 1990 onwards he was producer at production company Egmond Film & Television, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 68th Academy Awards with the film ''Antonia's Line''. From 2008 until 2021 he was the co-founder and producer of production company KeyFilm together with Hanneke Niens. Jeroen Willems
Jeroen Willems (; 15 November 1962 – 3 December 2012) was a Dutch Golden Calf and Louis d'Or winning film, TV, and stage actor and singer. Early life Willems was born on 15 November 1962 in Maastricht, the third child of a drama teacher and an elocutionist. Soon afterwards, the family moved to Heerlen. Willems' father died in 1978, age 52, when Jeroen was 15 years old. Willems attended the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. Career Willems was attached to theatrical company Theatergroep Hollandia. He could be seen in ''La Musica'' (1991), the solo show ''Twee stemmen'' (from 1997 on) and ''La Musica Twee'' (2003). Pieter Verhoeff (4 February 1938 – 17 April 2019) was a Dutch film director. He studied at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy and graduated in 1966. Monic Hendrickx (born 3 December 1966 in Sint Anthonis) is a Dutch actress. She has won several awards during her career including four Golden Calf awards for Best Actress at the Nederlands Film Festival, the Jury Award at the 2001 Newport Beach Film Festival and the Best Actress Award at the 1999 Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema. The Golden Calf ( nl, Gouden Kalf) is the award of the Netherlands Film Festival, which is held annually in Utrecht. Cornélie Lydie Huygens (13 June 1848 – 31 October 1902) was a Dutch writer, social democrat and feminist. Biography Huygens was born on 13 June 1848 in Haarlemmerliede. She was the daughter of Gerard William Otto Huygens and Cornelia Adelaide Henriette Elias (1824–1848) and married the German businessman Ignatius Bernardus Maria Bahlmann (1852–1934) in 1902. Her mother died after her birth and she was raised by her paternal aunt Jeanne Marie Huygens, a friend of the feminist Mina Kruseman. Huygens became known early for her feminist articles and made her debut as a novelist in 1877.
