Nykøbing FC is a Danish professional association football club based in Nykøbing Falster on Falster. The club competes in Danish 1st Division, the second tier of the Danish football league system, and plays its home games at the Lollands Bank Park. History Mergers (1994–2013) Nykøbing FC was formed on 1 July 2013 by a merger of regional teams B.1901 and B.1921. The move was initiated with the goal of developing youth football in Guldborgsund Kommune in order to strengthen the first team and thereby retain divisional status. Before taking the name ''Nykøbing FC'', the club was known as ''Nykøbing Falster Alliancen'' (NFA), which was also a superstructure between B.1901 and B.1921 founded on 1 January 1994. Later on, between 2006 and 2013, this club also went under the name ''Lolland Falster Alliancen'' (LFA). On 3 June 2021, a sponsorship agreement with Lollands Bank was announced, changing the name to Lollands Bank Park effectively immediately. 2019–20 Danish 1st Division
The 2019–20 Danish 1st Division season was the 24th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion was promoted to the 2020–21 Danish Superliga. The teams in 10th, 11th and 12th places were relegated to the 2020–21 Danish 2nd Divisions. The reason for this change in promotion and relegation spots was that the Danish Superliga was reduced to 12 teams following this season. Participants Vejle Boldklub finished last in the 2018–19 Danish Superliga relegation play-off and were relegated to the 1st Division after only one season in the first tier. The 2018–19 Danish Cup, also known as Sydbank Pokalen, was the 65th season of the Danish Cup competition. The winners of the tournament, Midtjylland, earned qualification into the third qualifying round of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. Structure 88 teams, representing all levels of competition, participated in the 44 first-round matches. Eight more teams from the two highest divisions entered round two while the remaining six teams from the 2018-19 Danish Superliga joined the competition in the third round.
