Numenera
''Numenera'' is a science fantasy tabletop role-playing game set in the far distant future, written by Monte Cook, published in 2013. Game Setting Numenera is set on Earth approximately one billion years in the future. The setting is called "The Ninth World" due to the fact that eight civilizations have risen and fallen prior to the current era. Character creation Character creation has been simplified by having players fill in the blanks to the statement: ;"I am a __________ __________ who _________s." # The first blank, the adjective in the sentence, is filled in by a character's "Descriptor", a way to describe the character's strongest characteristic. # The second blank, the noun of the sentence, is filled in by a character's "Type", which is a "Glaive" (a warrior type), a "Nano" (a technology adept type), or a "Jack" (as in jack-of-all-trades). # The third blank, the verb of the sentence, is filled in by a character's "Focus", or what the character is most known f ...

Tides Of Numenera
''Torment: Tides of Numenera'' is a role-playing video game developed by inXile Entertainment and published by Techland Publishing for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is a spiritual successor to 1999's '' Planescape: Torment''. The game takes place in The Ninth World, a science fantasy campaign setting written by Monte Cook for his tabletop RPG ''Numenera''. It uses the Unity game engine. ''Torment: Tides of Numenera'', like its predecessor, is primarily story-driven while placing greater emphasis on interaction with the world and characters, with combat and item accumulation taking a secondary role. The game was successfully crowd-funded through Kickstarter in the first six hours of the project's launch in March 2013. At the campaign's conclusion, ''Torment: Tides of Numenera'' had set the record for highest-funded video game on Kickstarter with over US$4 million pledged. Monte Cook
Monte Cook is an American professional tabletop role-playing game designer and writer, best known for his work on ''Dungeons & Dragons''. Role-playing industry career Early years Cook has been a professional game designer since 1988, working primarily on role-playing games. Much of his early work was for Iron Crown Enterprises as an editor and writer for the ''Rolemaster'' and ''Champions'' lines. For a time, Cook was the editor in charge of the "Campaign Classics" line of books for the ''Hero System'' and ''Rolemaster'' lines. Cook worked for Iron Crown Enterprises for four years; two as a freelancer and two as a full-time designer. During this period, Cook wrote the multi-genre setting ''Dark Space'' (1990), a fantasy/science-fiction/horror setting. inXile Entertainment, Inc. is an American video game developer and a studio of Xbox Game Studios based in Tustin, California. Bruce Cordell
Bruce Robert Cordell (born 1968) is an American author of roleplaying games and fantasy novels. He has worked on ''Dungeons & Dragons'' games for Wizards of the Coast. He won the Origins Award for ''Return to the Tomb of Horrors'' and has also won several ENnies. He lives in Seattle. Early life and education Bruce Cordell played ''Dungeons & Dragons'' as a youth, and even recalled playing the original ''Tomb of Horrors'' adventure with future fellow game designer Monte Cook when they were in high school together. Thunderstone (card Game)
Thunderstone is a fantasy deck-building card game series designed by Mike Elliott, with artwork by Jason Engle. It was first published by Alderac Entertainment Group in 2009. Each card has dimensions of 6.3 cm x 8.8 cm (2.5in x 3.5in). It has been translated into several languages. Gameplay Gameplay involves building a deck of adventurers and equipment to defeat monsters. Each turn players must decide whether to visit the Village (to purchase cards, upgrade heroes and other actions), or if they will face a monster in the current dungeon (using the heroes and equipment in their hand). Defeated monsters are added to a player's deck as well, where they may contribute money and/or other bonuses when in hand.
