Mexicana Universal Tamaulipas is a pageant in Tamaulipas, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal. Tamaulipas is the Fourth State that has produced more crowns in the history with 3 crowns. The State Organization has produced three Nuestra Belleza México in 1996 with Rebeca Tamez, 2004 with Laura Elizondo and 2015 with Cristal Silva. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Miss Universe 2016
Miss Universe 2016 was the 65th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. This is the second time in the history of the competition that the pageant skipped an entire year, following the 2014 pageant which was held in January 2015. At the end of the event, Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines crowned Iris Mittenaere of France as Miss Universe 2016. This is France's first victory in 63 years, and the second victory of the country in the pageant's history. Contestants from 86 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant. Nuestra Belleza México 2008
The 15th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Arena Monterrey of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico on September 20, 2008. Thirty-three contestants competed for the national title, which was won by Karla Carrillo from Jalisco, who later competed in Miss Universe 2009 in The Bahamas. Carrillo was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Elisa Nájera. She was the second Jalisciense to win this Title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Perla Beltrán from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss World 2009 in South Africa where she was the 1st Runner-up. Nuestra Belleza México 2009
The 16th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant was held at the Centro de Convenciones Yucatán Siglo XXI of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico on September 20, 2009. It was the second time there were back-to-back victories for a state in Nuestra Belleza México history: Ximena Navarrete from Jalisco was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Karla Carrillo also from Jalisco. The 17th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Parque Las Maravillas in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico on September 25, 2010. The State of Jalisco, won for the third consecutive year with Karin Ontiveros, who later competed in Miss Universe 2011 in Brazil. Reynosa
Reynosa () is a border city in the northern part of the state of Tamaulipas, in Mexico. It is also the municipal seat of Reynosa Municipality. ''Nuestra Belleza Latina 2013'' was the seventh season of ''Nuestra Belleza Latina'' and the seventh season to be aired on Univision. The season premiere was on March 10, 2013 at 8pm/7c and was aired every Sunday. The auditions were shown on the first show, prior to the final 12 are revealed.
