The University of Nottingham School of Pharmacy was founded in 1925 and is located in the University Park Campus of the university. The school also offers courses at the University's Malaysia campus in Kuala Lumpur with students spending two years in Malaysia and two years in Nottingham The School also offers the first joint Pharmacy course with China, with the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese MedicineTUTCM. The current head of The School is Professor Barrie Kellam (2021-). Courses The University of Nottingham School of Pharmacy offers the following undergraduate courses, Master of Pharmacy (4-year and 5-year with integrated pre-reg), a 4-year MSci in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a year in industry, Medicinal and Biological Chemistry BSci Hons (Malaysia), as well as the five-year International Pharmacy programme with TUTCM. The University of Nottingham is a public university, public research university in Nottingham, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881, and was granted a royal charter in 1948. The University of Nottingham belongs to the research intensive Russell Group association. University Park Campus, Nottingham
The University of Nottingham operates from four campuses in Nottinghamshire and from two overseas campuses, one in Ningbo, China and the other in Semenyih, Malaysia. The Ningbo campus was officially opened on 23 February 2005 by the then British Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, in the presence of Chinese education minister Zhou Ji and State Counsellor Chen Zhili. The Malaysia campus was the first purpose-built UK university campus in a foreign country and was officially opened by Najib Tun Razak on 26 September 2005. Najib Tun Razak, as well as being a Nottingham alumnus, was Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia at the time and has since become Prime Minister of Malaysia. University Park Campus and Jubilee Campus are situated a few miles from the centre of Nottingham, with the small King's Meadow Campus nearby. Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used for treating pain, fever, and inflammation. This includes painful menstrual periods, migraines, and rheumatoid arthritis. It may also be used to close a patent ductus arteriosus in a premature baby. It can be used by mouth or intravenously. It typically begins working within an hour. Common side effects include heartburn and a rash. Compared to other NSAIDs, it may have other side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding. It increases the risk of heart failure, kidney failure, and liver failure. At low doses, it does not appear to increase the risk of heart attack; however, at higher doses it may. Ibuprofen can also worsen asthma. While whether it is safe in early pregnancy is unclear, it appears to be harmful in later pregnancy, so is not recommended.
