Northern NSW Football
Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is the governing body of soccer in the north of New South Wales, Australia. It is a member of the national governing body, Football Australia. The Federation was established the 9 September 1884 as the Northern District British Football Association. To fall in line with the global football identity, the federation was re-branded to Northern NSW Football on 25 October 2006. Formation On 9 September 1884, the Northern District British Football Association was established. On 25 October 2006, the Northern NSW Football was created due to internal restructuring and re-branding. Membership Structure The NNSWF, the governing body for football in the northern regions of New South Wales, is Federation Member of Football Federation Australia (FFA) and as such reports directly to the FFA. Newcastle ( ; Awabakal: ) is a metropolitan area and the second most populated city in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Minmi Rangers FC
Minmi Rangers was Australian football club that was one of the foundation members of the Northern District British Football Association. It was the most successful club in the competition in the 1880s and 1890s. History The story goes that Minmi Rangers FC was formed on 9 September 1884. However there is no primary source reference to this from the period. Minmi Rangers entered the historical record in 1886. Members of the inaugural team were expatriate Scottish coal miners who had settled in Minmi. In 1886 the Rangers had won the first Newcastle & District premiership. They proceeded to win the premierships of 1887, 1888, 1889, 1891, 1892 and 1893. During the same period, they won the knockout Ellis Cup competition in 1886, 1887, 1888, 1890, 1892, 1893, 1895 and 1898. Cessnock City Hornets FC
Cessnock City Hornets FC is a semi-professional soccer club based in Cessnock, New South Wales. The Hornets currently compete in the Northern NSW State League Division 1 with teams in First Grade, Reserve Grade, Under 18, Under 16, Under 15, Under 14 and Under 13 divisions.
