NorthPort Batang Pier
The NorthPort Batang Pier is a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) team that first played in the 2012–13 PBA season. The team took over the franchise of the Powerade Tigers in 2012 after it was sold to Sultan 900 Capital, Inc. Besides NorthPort, team owner Mikee Romero also co-owned the AirAsia Philippine Patriots of the ASEAN Basketball League. History Harbour Centre Batang Pier The origins of the NorthPort Batang Pier can be traced to the 2004 Philippine Basketball League (PBL) franchise, the Harbour Centre Port Masters owned by Mikee Romero. In 2007, they changed its team name to Harbour Centre Batang Pier until 2009. The franchise have successfully won 7 straight PBL championships under coach Glenn Capacio from the 2005–06 up to the 2008–09 season, which they carry the team name Oracle Residences Titans on the season's last conference. 2012–13 PBA Season
The 2012–13 PBA season was the 38th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on September 30, 2012, and finished October 25, 2013. This was the longest in PBA history with 13-month span. The season continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The mid season Commissioner's Cup will continue to feature unlimited height limit for imports. The last conference of the season, the Governors' Cup will have imports with a 6'5" height limit. The first activity of the season was the 2012 PBA Draft held on August 19, 2012 at Robinsons Midtown Mall in Ermita, Manila. Gary Ocampo David (born July 13, 1978) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Jason Bryan Ticse Deutchman (born September 27, 1986) is a Filipino-American former basketball player. He last played for the Kia Picanto of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 10th overall in the 2012 PBA draft by the GlobalPort Batang Pier. Joseph Evans "JVee" D. Casio (born September 1, 1986) is a Filipino basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted first overall by the Powerade Tigers in 2011 PBA draft. Early life and high school career Casio started playing basketball at the age of seven. Willie V. Miller Jr. (born July 13, 1977) is a Filipino former professional basketball player. He last played for the Pilipinas MX3 Kings of the ASEAN Basketball League. He has started at the point guard position mostly but could also play the shooting guard spot. Miller has won four PBA championships and two PBA Most Valuable Player Awards. Rommel Adducul (born April 21, 1976) is a Filipino former professional basketball player who currently serves as an assistant coach for the Adamson Soaring Falcons of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, UAAP. Alex Vincent Crisano (born February 26, 1976) is a Filipino-American former professional basketball player. First Years Crisano was undrafted in 2000 but he was signed and directly hired by the Barangay Ginebra Kings.
