Park & Arbourthorne ward—which includes the districts of Arbourthorne, Gleadless, and Norfolk Park—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. Sheffield Heeley (UK Parliament Constituency)
Sheffield Heeley is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Louise Haigh, a member of the Labour Party. It is located in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. History This seat was created in 1950, largely replacing the former Sheffield Ecclesall constituency, its boundaries being significantly altered in 1955 with the abolition of Sheffield Neepsend. Julie Dore
Julie Dore is a British Labour Party politician, who was Leader of Sheffield City Council from May 2011 until January 2021, on which she represents Arbourthorne. She has been a member of Sheffield City Council since she was elected to the predecessor Park Ward in a by-election in October 2000. In 2008 she became Chair of a Council Scrutiny Board, and in May 2010 she joined the Shadow Cabinet. On 11 February 2020 Dore announced that she would not contest her seat at the upcoming local elections in May, and would stand down as leader of the council. However, following the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in the UK, and the subsequent postponing of the elections until 2021, Dore stated that she would remain as Leader during this "difficult period". The Sheffield Supertram is a tram and tram-train network covering Sheffield and Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. The infrastructure is owned by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), with Stagecoach responsible for the operation and maintenance of rolling stock under a concession until 2024, under the brand name Stagecoach Supertram. Norfolk Heritage Park
Norfolk Heritage Park () (commonly referred to as 'Norfolk Park') is a public park in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England surrounded by the Norfolk Park residential suburb. Located to the south of Sheffield City Centre, the estate has grown up on part of the former deer park associated with Sheffield Manor. Norfolk Heritage Park is formed out of part of the deer park and was donated to the city of Sheffield by the Duke of Norfolk in Victorian times and enjoyed its heyday during Queen Victoria's reign. Later, the park fell into neglect and disrepair, but was renovated late in the 20th century. In 2002, '' Sheffield Fayre'', a family event featuring horticulture/wildlife, and multi-period re-enactment, was launched, and it is now an annual event during the late Summer Bank Holiday.
