Nordic Valley, Utah
Nordic Valley is an unincorporated community in Weber County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Nordic Valley lies on an eastern slope in the Wasatch Range of the western greater Rocky Mountains in northern Utah. It is about 50 miles north of Salt Lake City and 15 miles east of Ogden. Nordic Valley sits at an elevation of about 6000 feet and shares the mountainside with a ski resort of the same name. It is nestled into the west side of a high mountain valley known as the Ogden Valley on the western edge of the small town of Eden, sharing the valley with Liberty and Huntsville, as well as with the Pineview Reservoir. Snowbasin
Snowbasin Resort is a ski resort in the western United States, located in Weber County, Utah, northeast of Salt Lake City, on the back (east) side of the Wasatch Range. Opened in 1939, as part of an effort by the city of Ogden to restore the Wheeler Creek watershed, it is one of the oldest continually operating ski resorts in the United States. One of the owners in the early days was Aaron Ross. Over the next fifty years Snowbasin grew, and after a large investment in lifts and snowmaking by owner Earl Holding, Snowbasin hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic alpine skiing races for downhill, combined, and super-G. Powder Mountain
Powder Mountain is a ski resort east of Eden, Utah, stretching between Weber and Cache counties and from Salt Lake City International Airport. Covering , Powder Mountain is the largest ski resort in the US by skiable acreage. The resort has 154 trails, nine lifts, and two terrain parks. Pineview Reservoir
Pineview Dam is located in Ogden Canyon, east of Ogden, Utah, United States. Description Pineview Dam is located at the eastern end of Ogden Canyon at the confluence of the north, south, and center forks of the Ogden River. The western half of present-day Huntsville is located between the central and southern bays of Pineview Reservoir. State Route 158 crosses the dam and runs adjacent on the north and west, former State Route 166 on the north and east, and State Route 39 on the southeast and south. Huntsville is a town in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 608 at the 2010 census. It is located in Ogden Valley. It is part of the Ogden– Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as the Ogden Valley census county division. History Huntsville was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt. Liberty is a census-designated place in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,257 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogden– Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as the Ogden Valley census county division. Geography Liberty lies in the northwestern Ogden Valley of the Wasatch Range, approximately across the North Ogden Divide and east of North Ogden and northwest of Eden.
