Liberty, Utah
Liberty is a census-designated place in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 1,257 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogden– Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as the Ogden Valley census county division. Geography Liberty lies in the northwestern Ogden Valley of the Wasatch Range, approximately across the North Ogden Divide and east of North Ogden and northwest of Eden. Near Liberty are Nordic Valley, Utah State Route 158, and the Nordic Valley ski resort. To the southeast, just past Eden, are Pineview Reservoir and the town of Huntsville. Avon Road, formerly State Route 162, leads north over the Avon Pass to Avon. Ogden Valley
Ogden Valley (Shoshone: Ink-ah-we-in-da, “Red Pass Basin”) is a high mountain valley and ski resort community in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 6,855 at the 2010 census. Planning in the valley is managed by a special county-level planning division, the Ogden Valley Planning Commission. The valley is a popular vacation and tourism destination with three ski resorts, Pineview Reservoir, Causey Reservoir, and national forest lands. Peter Skene Ogden
Peter Skene Ogden (alternately Skeene, Skein, or Skeen; baptised 12 February 1790 – 27 September 1854) was a British-Canadian fur trader and an early explorer of what is now British Columbia and the Western United States. During his many expeditions, he explored parts of Oregon, Washington, Nevada, California, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. Avon is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cache County, Utah, United States. The population was 367 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Logan, Utah-Idaho (partial) Metropolitan Statistical Area. Avon is the birthplace of Reuben D. Huntsville, Utah
Huntsville is a town in Weber County, Utah, United States. The population was 608 at the 2010 census. It is located in Ogden Valley. It is part of the Ogden– Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area, as well as the Ogden Valley census county division. History Huntsville was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt. An LDS ward was organized there in 1877 with Francis Hammond as Bishop, and he was succeeded in 1885 by David McKay. This David McKay was the father of David O. Pineview Reservoir
Pineview Dam is located in Ogden Canyon, east of Ogden, Utah, United States. Description Pineview Dam is located at the eastern end of Ogden Canyon at the confluence of the north, south, and center forks of the Ogden River. The western half of present-day Huntsville is located between the central and southern bays of Pineview Reservoir. Nordic Valley is an unincorporated community in Weber County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Nordic Valley lies on an eastern slope in the Wasatch Range of the western greater Rocky Mountains in northern Utah. It is about 50 miles north of Salt Lake City and 15 miles east of Ogden.
