Nordic Airways was an airline based in Stockholm, Sweden. It operated extensive charter and wet lease services. The company's low-cost airline subsidiary Nordic Regional also operated a scheduled network of services linking five domestic and one international destination. Its main base was Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. Nordic Airways served charter flights for Airtours, Apollo and Neckerman as well as ACMI charters for SAS, Germanwings, Spanair, Sterling, LTE International Airways, Air Comet and Centralwings. History On 2 January 2009, Nordic Airways operated the first commercial flight between Europe and Iraq in 17 years. The flight carried about 150 passengers and operated between Copenhagen and Baghdad. On 24 January 2009, Nordic Airways lost their operator certificate due to financial troubles. Centralwings was a charter airline based in Warsaw, Poland. The airline operated as a low-cost airline and then became a charter-only operation in October 2008. It was a subsidiary of LOT Polish Airlines, operating international services in Europe, using Boeing 737 aircraft. The Cessna CitationJet/CJ/M2 (also known as the Model 525) are a series of light business jets built by Cessna, and are part of the Citation family. Launched in October 1989, the first flight of the Model 525 was on April 29, 1991. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification was awarded on October 16, 1992, and the first aircraft was delivered on March 30, 1993. The CJ series are powered by two Williams FJ44 engines; the design uses the Citation II's forward fuselage with a new carry-through section wing and a T-tail. The Saab 340 is a Swedish twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and initially produced by Saab AB and Fairchild Aircraft. It is designed to seat 30-36 passengers and, as of July 2018, there were 240 operational aircraft used by 34 different operators. Under the production arrangement in which production was split 65:35 between Saab and Fairchild, Saab constructed the all-aluminium fuselage and vertical stabilizer along with final assembly of the aircraft in Linköping, Sweden, while Fairchild was responsible for the wings, empennage, and wing-mounted nacelles for the two turboprop engines. The De Havilland Canada DHC-8, commonly known as the Dash 8, is a series of turboprop-powered regional airliners, introduced by de Havilland Canada (DHC) in 1984. DHC was later bought by Boeing in 1988, then by Bombardier in 1992; then by Longview Aviation Capital in 2019, reviving the De Havilland Canada brand.
