Nite Versions
''Nite Versions'' is a remix album by Soulwax, released on 26 September 2005 through PIAS. The album comprises remixes of songs from their third studio album, ''Any Minute Now''. History The album opens with Soulwax's own take on Daft Punk's 1997 song "Teachers". A hidden track is present before the start of track 1. The 51-second instrumental is untitled, but is an alternate version of the guitar riff from the original version of E Talking. The artwork for singles from the album form illusions. The album artwork was produced by Trevor Jackson. In 2012, ''Nite Versions'' was awarded a double silver certification from the Independent Music Companies Association, which indicated sales of at least 40,000 copies throughout Europe. Soulwax
Soulwax are an electronic band from Ghent, Belgium. Centred around brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, other current members include Igor Cavalera and Stefaan Van Leuven. They were first noticed after the release of their album ''Much Against Everyone's Advice'', but after that, the Dewaeles started focusing on their other projects, such as 2manydjs (first known as The Fucking Dewaele Brothers/The Flying Dewaele Brothers). Their album ''As Heard on Radio Soulwax Pt. 2'' was named the best popular music album of 2002 by ''The New York Times''. The brothers have also hosted a show on Belgian television, ''Alter8''. Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 in Paris by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in dance music history, they achieved popularity in the late 1990s as part of the French house movement. Guillaume Emmanuel "Guy-Manuel" de Homem-Christo (; born 8 February 1974) is a French musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, DJ and composer. He is known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, along with Thomas Bangalter. He has also produced several works from his now defunct record label Crydamoure with label co-owner Éric Chedeville. Early life Homem-Christo was born on 8 February 1974 in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He is the grandson of Portuguese poet Homem Christo Filho, and the great-great-grandson of Portuguese military figure Francisco Manuel Homem Cristo, who was forced into exile in France in 1910. Homem-Christo was given a toy guitar and keyboard at around seven years of age. Thomas Bangalter (; born 3 January 1975) is a French musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, DJ and composer. Son of French music composer and artist Daniel Vangarde. He is best known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. He has recorded and released music as a member of the trio Stardust, the duo Together, as well as a solo artist. Bangalter's work has influenced a wide range of artists in various genres. Bangalter owned the music label Roulé until its liquidation in 2018. He has provided compositions for films such as ''Irréversible''. The pregap on a Red Book audio CD is the portion of the audio track that precedes "index 01" for a given track in the table of contents (TOC). The pregap ("index 00") is typically two seconds long and usually, but not always, contains silence. Popular uses for having the pregap contain audio are live CDs, track interludes, and hidden songs in the pregap of the first track (detailed below). Unconventional uses of the pregap Computer data in pregap The track 01 pregap was used to hide computer data, allowing computers to detect a data track whereas conventional CD players would continue to see the CD as an audio CD. This method was made obsolete in mid 1996 when an update to Windows 95 in driver SCSI1HLP.VXD made the pregap track inaccessible. ''Test Drive Unlimited'' is an open world racing video game developed by Eden Games and published by Atari for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Atari Melbourne House developed the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions. Being the eighteenth entry in the ''Test Drive'' series, ''Unlimited'' serves as a reboot of the franchise, discarding the continuity of the previous games. The game features over 125 licensed sports cars and motorcycles and the terrain is modeled after the Hawaiian island of Oahu that features some of roads and highways. It was soon followed by its sequel, '' Test Drive Unlimited 2'' in 2011. An illusion is a distortion of the senses, which can reveal how the mind normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. Although illusions distort the human perception of reality, they are generally shared by most people.
