Niklas Sundin
Niklas Sundin (born 13 August 1974 in Gothenburg, Sweden) is a musician of the band Mitochondrial Sun, but was best known as the founding lead guitarist of band Dark Tranquillity (1989–2020). He was also one of the guitarists in the band Laethora (2005–2010). In Dark Tranquillity, he was one of only two members (the other being drummer Anders Jivarp) to maintain his musical role, unlike the other members who have or had switched. He also wrote some of the lyrics for the first three and recent two Dark Tranquillity albums (Lead singer Mikael Stanne wrote all of Dark Tranquillity's lyrics from ''Projector'' through ''Fiction'') and In Flames' album ''The Jester Race'', and continued to translate In Flames vocalist Anders Fridén's lyrics from Swedish to English for the next few albums while Anders worked to become more proficient in English. Meridian Dawn is an international heavy metal band. History The band was conceived by vocalist Antony Hämäläinen (Armageddon, Nightrage), drummer Johan Nunez (Kamelot, Nightrage, Firewind, Marty Friedman), guitarist Brandon Johnson, bassist/guitarist Nicholas Ziros ( Into the Moat, Remembering Never), and guitarist Christopher "CJ" Cussell. Martin Henriksson
Hans Martin Knut Henriksson (born 30 October 1974) is a former Swedish musician best known for his work with death metal band Dark Tranquillity and was one of the original members, and the main songwriter for the band until he left them in 2016. Biography When Dark Tranquillity formed in 1989 Henriksson was the bassist up until 1999. He switched to guitar when their ex-guitarist Fredrik Johansson quit, but recorded bass again once on ''Construct'' when the band had no bassist at the time. He composed much of the band's music throughout his tenure, especially between ''Projector'' and ''Fiction''. Although Henriksson had been inactive with the band since 2015 it wasn't until January 2016 that he started to realize he didn't want to be in the band anymore. Damage Done
''Damage Done'' is the sixth full-length studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity. Here, the band returns to a more classic style while holding the changes made in their albums '' Haven'' and ''Projector'', especially in the keyboards, but this is the first record since ''The Mind's I'' that does not feature clean vocals. Martin Henriksson started doing some "lead guitar riffs" on the record, so the band showed influences from '' The Gallery'' in the duality of lead guitars. Mikael Stanne said that the lyrics on this album are about the frailty of life. The song "Cathode Ray Sunshine" is featured in the video game's soundtrack, ''Brütal Legend''. Several versions of the album feature a bonus track entitled "I, Deception" as well as the "Monochromatic Stains" video clip but it is known that the limited edition digipak contains them. The Gibson Les Paul is a solid body electric guitar that was first sold by the Gibson Guitar Corporation in 1952. The guitar was designed by factory manager John Huis and his team with input from and endorsement by guitarist Les Paul. The Gibson Flying V is an electric guitar model introduced by Gibson in 1958. The Flying V offered a radical, "futuristic" body design, much like its siblings: the Explorer, which was released the same year, and the Moderne, which was designed in 1957 but not released until 1982. The initial run of guitars used a distinctive wood of the Limba tree marketed by Gibson under the trade name "korina"; later models used more conventional woods. The Gibson SG is a solid-body electric guitar model introduced by Gibson in 1961 as the Gibson Les Paul SG. It remains in production today in many variations of the initial design. The SG (where "SG" refers to Solid-Body Guitar) Standard is Gibson's best-selling model of all time. Origins In 1960, Gibson Les Paul sales were significantly lower than in previous years.
