Nicole Süßmilch
Nicole Süßmilch (born 2 May 1980) was a contestant on the first season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Nicole was not an original member of the top 10. She was brought back after Judith Lefeber withdrew from the competition. However, Nicole was eliminated on 8 January 2003, giving her 6th place in the competition. Since the end of the show, Nicole has released 2 singles with Marco Matias who was her partner in the German Eurovision preselection back in 2005. Their song was "Miracle of Love" which was written by serial Eurovision songwriter Ralph Siegel under a pseudonym. The song finished a close second to "Run And Hide" performed by Gracia Baur, one of Nicole's fellow contestants in the first season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' (''DSDS''; "Germany is looking for the Superstar") is a German reality talent show. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. Marco Matias (musician)
Marco Matias is the son of Portuguese immigrants who came to Germany in the 1970s. At the age of ten, he had his first experiences on stage when he was performing for a game circus, a project that arose in co-operation with Caritas and endeavored to inspire children for creativity. He himself got a lot of ideas out of this project. Shortly afterwards, he founded a duet with his brother Jorge and they had a lot of success presenting their songs – pop, rock and South American titles – at various private events. The first band he joined when he was fifteen was called ‘Lua Cheia’. He gained his first studio experiences with his school band ‘The Basement Kids’ during the production of his first CD ‘Cry For Peace’. Ralph Siegel (born 30 September 1945) is a German record producer and songwriter. Siegel is one of the most notable figures at the Eurovision Song Contest, in which he has participated with 24 songs so far, among them the 1982 winner song Ein bisschen Frieden. Life and career Siegel is a prolific producer in the German genre of Schlager music. Since the early 1970s, he worked with artists like Udo Jürgens, Mary Roos, Heino, Rex Gildo, Michael Holm, Chris Roberts, Costa Cordalis, Mireille Mathieu, Peter Alexander, Roy Black, Karel Gott and Marianne Rosenberg. Since 1972 has participated with 24 songs in the Eurovision Song Contest, the latest being the 2017 Sammarinese entry "Spirit of the Night" by Valentina Monetta and Jimmie Wilson. Gracia Arabella Baur (born 18 November 1982) is a German singer and songwriter. She rose to fame as a finalist on the debut season of the television series ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', the German ''Idol'' series adaptation, placing fifth. Biography Gracia was born in Munich on 18 November 1982 to Roman and Rosemary Baur and was named after Princess Grace (Gracia Patricia) of Monaco, who had died a few weeks earlier.
