Nico Cedric Schlotterbeck (born 1 December 1999) is a German professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Germany national team. Club career SC Freiburg Schlotterbeck debuted for SC Freiburg on 9 March 2019, coming on as a half-time substitute for Philipp Lienhart in the 2–1 home win against Hertha BSC. In his final match for Freiburg, the club lost the DFB-Pokal Final on penalties but Schlotterbeck was awarded the man of the match. Loan to Union Berlin On 31 July 2020, Schlotterbeck joined Union Berlin on a one-year loan. The 2018–19 Regionalliga is the eleventh season of the Regionalliga, the seventh under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format A new promotion format was used this season. The champions of the Regionalliga Nordost and Südwest were promoted directly to the 2019–20 3. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. Keven Matteo Schlotterbeck (born 28 April 1997) is a German professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club VfL Bochum, on loan from SC Freiburg. Career Schlotterbeck made his professional debut for SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga on 3 February 2019, coming on as a substitute in the 38th minute for Manuel Gulde in the 2–2 away draw against VfB Stuttgart. At the end of the 2019–20 season, Schlotterbeck returned to SC Freiburg after his season-long loan with Union Berlin ended. On 2 January 2023, he joined VfL Bochum on loan until the end of the 2022–23 season. The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Hans-Dieter "Hansi" Flick (born 24 February 1965) is a German professional football coach and former player who is the manager of the Germany national team. From August 2006 to July 2014, he was the assistant coach of Germany under manager Joachim Löw. The 2022 DFB-Pokal Final decided the winner of the 2021–22 DFB-Pokal, the 79th season of the annual German football cup competition. The match was played on 21 May 2022 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. The match featured SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig, with neither side having won the competition prior.
