Nico Blum (born 13 December 2000) is a German former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Blum became the first person born in the year 2000 to win a PDC ranking match, when he defeated Josh Payne 6–4 in the first round of the 2017 German Darts Open, before eventually losing to Cristo Reyes in the second round. He won the Boys title in the 2017 Winmau World Masters defeating Ireland's Keane Barry in a last-leg decider. He was the runner-up in the 2019 German Darts Trophy when he defeated Michael Rosenauer Michael "Mike" Rosenauer (born July 13, 1966) is a former professional German darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. 2017 World Masters (darts)
The 2017 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2017. It took place from 25–27 September at the Bridlington Spa Hall, which hosted the stage element of the event for the first time since 2009. Glen Durrant was the defending men’s champion after defeating Mark McGeeney in last year’s final by 6 sets to 3 but he failed to defend his title after losing to eventual champion Krzysztof Ratajski in the quarter-finals. Trina Gulliver was the defending women’s champion after defeating Deta Hedman in the final last year by 5 legs to 2 but she failed to defend her title after losing to Tricia Wright in the quarter-finals. In the men’s, Ratajski won his first ever major as a player and that the first time a Polish player won a televised major. Colin Rice (darts Player)
Colin Walter Rice (born 16 July 1938) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Rice made his debut for Geelong in 1957 and was capable of playing in both the back pocket and as a rover. He won the Carji Greeves Medal for Geelong's best and fairest player in 1959 and captained the club for part of 1960. Rice became a premiership player with his last game in the league, the 1963 grand final. The following season he moved to Glenelg in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and was their Club Champion in his debut season. Michael "Mike" Rosenauer (born July 13, 1966) is a former professional German darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Rosenauer created controversy when he chose to play in the 2008 PDC World Darts Championship, having won qualification for the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship. Rosenauer claimed one of the places for the event at the Lakeside, but at the same time, he topped the German Darts Corporation Order of Merit, which grants a place in the PDC World Championship and in the end, he withdrew from the BDO World Championship to play in the PDC version instead. He went on to lose in the first round to Mervyn King. In 2012, Rosenauer earned a place in the European Tour Event 1 in Vienna by defeating Alexander Tauber and Tomas Seyler in the European qualifier. Keane Neill Barry (born 25 June 2002) is an Irish professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and Youth Development Tour events. The highlight of his career was beating Conor Allen in a narrow 2-0 victory in a junior darts event in 2019. He was the World Masters Youth Champion and BDO World Youth Champion. Career Barry won the 2019 World Boys Masters, defeating Charlie Manby of England, having previously been runner-up in 2017 and 2018. He is the only player ever to qualify for 3 World Boys Masters finals. Cristo Reyes Torres (born 30 July 1987) is a Spanish darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In October 2014, Reyes bested a field of 154 players to win the Iberian Qualifier for the 2015 PDC World Championship, sealing his place in the draw by whitewashing Jose Rodriguez 6–0 in the final. He entered the event in the preliminary round and comfortably beat Christian Perez 4–0. Reyes then took the first two sets against Wes Newton, before the world number 13 responded to level the tie. Both players broke each other's throw in the deciding set, with the match going in to a sudden death leg. 2017 German Darts Open
The 2017 German Darts Open was the third of twelve PDC European Tour events on the 2017 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Saarlandhalle, Saarbrücken, Germany, between 21–23 April 2017. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Peter Wright won the tournament by defeating Benito van de Pas 6–5 in the final. Josh Payne (born 10 December 1993) is an English darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Payne won his first title in 2013 at a PDC Challenge Tour event by beating Rowby-John Rodriguez 4–3 in the final. He also qualified for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy and beat Wayne Jones 6–2, before losing 6–1 to Dave Chisnall in the second round despite averaging 100.50. In 2014, Payne reached the final of the first two Youth Tour events, losing to Nick Kenny and Lewis Venes respectively. He qualified for the UK Open for the first time and lost 5–4 to Andy Boulton in the second round.
