Nickelodeon is an Australian children's pay television channel operated by a joint venture of Foxtel Networks and Paramount Networks UK & Australia. Being a version of the namesake television channel in the United States, the channel broadcasts Nickelodeon's original series, as well as shows from third-party companies. The Australian version also offers a timeshift schedule to viewers in New Zealand since 1 December 2010; the New Zealand-specific version of Nickelodeon ceased broadcasting a day before. Nickelodeon was a television channel in New Zealand that targeted audiences aged 3–14. The channel launched on 1 August 2006 and was available on Sky Television Channel 041. The channel closed on 30 November 2010, and New Zealand schedule is now managed by Nickelodeon Australia as their timeshift feed. The channel used to be headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, shared with fellow Viacom channel MTV New Zealand. Club MTV (formerly MTV Dance) is an Australian pay television channel that broadcasts dance and urban music. It was launched on 3 December 2013. History On 29 October 2013, MTV announced they had been working with Foxtel since early 2013 to offer more diversity on the Foxtel platform, as their two current music dedicated channels - MTV Classic and MTV Hits - fought for the same audience as Foxtel Networks channels MAX and Hits respectively. Timeshift Channel
A timeshift channel (sometimes referred to as a +1 channel) is a television channel carrying time-delayed reruns of its "parent" channel's programming. This channel runs alongside their parent: the term "timeshift" does not refer to a network broadcasting at a later time to reflect a local time zone, unless the parent is also available. Often the timeshift channel's branding and advertising will be the same as that of the parent, with the channel number and respective timing being the only distinction between the two, but some, such as Channel 4 +1 in the United Kingdom and TVNZ 1+1 in New Zealand, will overlay a different digital on-screen graphic to distinguish the two channels. NickMusic is an Australian TV channel jointly owned by Foxtel Networks and Paramount Networks UK & Australia. It launched on 1 July 2020 replacing Channel on channel 802, taking the slot of s 2-hour timeshift. It is an Australian version of the U.S pay television channel of the same name, a kid-safe, family-friendly music video channel for 4-15 year olds mainly featuring modern-day pop and teen pop hits on an automated schedule. It is the first NickMusic channel in Oceania and the second to launch outside of the United States (after the Dutch version). On 6 July 2020, NickMusic was made available in New Zealand via satellite TV broadcaster Sky. In April 2021, it was added onto Fetch TV.
