Nick Simmons (wrestler)
Nick Simmons (born October 25, 1982) is an American former wrestler, who represented the United States at the 2011 World Wrestling Championships. Simmons was known as the "East Lansing Strangler" for his ability to pin at a high rate, partially due to his above-average height for a wrestler at his weight. High school Simmons attended Williamston High School in Williamston, Michigan from 1998 to 2001. Simmons was one of the most successful high school wrestlers in Michigan history, finishing his prep career 211-0 with 178 pins, including 54 consecutive pins in his sophomore year. His performance in 1999 earned him the Junior Schalles Award for top high school pinner. Williamston also won team state championships in Simmons' sophomore and junior years. College At Michigan State University, Simmons was a four-time NCAA All-American and three-time Big Ten Champion. Clear Lake, Texas
Clear Lake is a populated place located in Collin County, Texas on the south end of the Lavon Lake Peninsula. By land it is south of Princeton and over water northwest of Lavon, southwest of Copeville, and north of Wylie. Population In 1910 the population of Clear Lake was estimated at seventy-five and by 1914 had grown to 100. Despite the construction of the Lavon Reservoir in 1954, the estimated number of residents at the community remained at fifty for the period from the 1930s to 1990. History The United States government in 1884 built and operated a distillery on the banks of nearby Clear Lake. A small number of settlers were attracted to the area by the federal project, after which the town of Clear Lake was established in 1890. Radoslav Marinov Velikov ( bg, Радослав Маринов Великов; born 2 September 1983 in Kutsina, Veliko Tarnovo Province) is a Bulgarian freestyle wrestler. He has been engaged in wrestling since 1997 and he currently competes for Levski Sofia, where his coach is former world champion and triple European champion Simeon Shterev, who also used to coach Stanka Zlateva. Velikov won the 2006 World Championships in Guangzhou and came second in 2005 in Budapest. He came second at the European Championships in Varna in 2005 and third in Europe in Sofia in 2007. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens he came ninth. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he won bronze in his category (55 kilograms). Williamston, Michigan
Williamston is a city in Ingham County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 3,854 at the 2010 census. Williamston is located east of the city of Lansing and borders Williamstown Township to the north and Wheatfield Township to the south. The Red Cedar River and M-43 run through the center of the city. History The location that was later to become Williamston started as the cross-road of the Grand River and Saginaw Indian Trails. It was first occupied by a small band of the Saginaw tribe of the Chippewa People which by the mid-19th century used the area as a 'summer village' (it was not used by them year-round, but they 'wintered' in the area that is now Meridian Township).
