Nick Civetta
Nick Civetta (born November 5, 1989) is an American professional rugby player currently playing for Rugby United New York (RUNY) of Major League Rugby. He also plays internationally for the United States rugby team. He plays as a second row. He previously played for RC Vannes in the Rugby Pro D2. University rugby Civetta was born in White Plains, New York. Civetta's rugby career began at 18 when he began playing for the University of Notre Dame Rugby Football Club. He was named an All-American his junior and senior year. Civetta graduated with a B.S in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and a M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Civetta finished a M.S. at the University of Oxford in 2022. He played in the 2022 Varsity Match, earning a winning blue. Scarsdale is a town and village in Westchester County, New York, United States. The Town of Scarsdale is coextensive with the Village of Scarsdale, but the community has opted to operate solely with a village government, one of several villages in the state that have a similar governmental situation. As of the 2020 census, Scarsdale's population was 18,253. History Colonial era Caleb Heathcote purchased land that would become Scarsdale at the end of the 17th century and, on March 21, 1701, had it elevated to a royal manor. Rugby Pro D2
Rugby Pro D2, also known as Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Fédérale 1, the third-level competition. The top club at the end of the season is automatically promoted to the Top 14; through the 2016–17 season, the 2nd through 5th place teams play each other for the second promotion place. Eric Fry
Eric Fry (born September 14, 1987) is an American international rugby union player who plays prop. Fry last played for RC Vannes of the Pro D2 in France, and previously played in the English Premiership for Newcastle Falcons and London Scottish in the RFU Championship. He can play either tighthead prop or loosehead prop, and is considered a strong scrummager with a high work rate. Early life Fry played rugby in high school for Sacramento Jesuit, where he helped the school win the 2004 National High School Championship. He played college rugby at Cal, where he was a four time All-American selection and won four national championships. Club career Fry began playing for Old Boys University in 2012 in The Jubilee Cup. The EPCR Challenge Cup is an annual rugby union competition organised by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR). It is the second-tier competition for clubs based in European leagues behind the European Rugby Champions Cup. Premiership Rugby, officially known as Gallagher Premiership Rugby, or the Gallagher Premiership for sponsorship reasons, is an English professional rugby union competition.
