Ni Zhiliang
Ni Zhiliang () (October 1900 – December 15, 1965) was a People's Republic of China diplomat and People's Liberation Army lieutenant general. He was the 1st People's Republic of China Ambassador to North Korea (1950–1952). He joined the Communist Party of China in October 1926 and participated in the Guangzhou Uprising. In May 1928, he went to the border region of Hubei, Henan and Anhui. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, he was a member of the Eighth Route Army, serving in Shanxi, Hebei and Henan. In October 1945 he went to Northeast China. Shuntian Prefecture
Shuntian Prefecture was an administrative region of China during the Ming and Qing dynasties, equivalent to Beijing Municipality in today's People's Republic of China. However, the area of the prefecture jurisdiction was different. The term Shuntian fu also referred to the yamen (office) of the prefecture's local government. Evolution During the Yuan dynasty, the imperial capital circuit known as Dadu circuit (大都路; ''Dadulu'') was under control of the Central Secretariat (Zhongshu Sheng). During the eighth month of the first year of reign of the Hongwu Emperor of the new Ming dynasty, this was renamed to Beiping prefecture, and in the tenth month it was attached to Shandong province. Shanxi
Shanxi (; ; formerly romanised as Shansi) is a landlocked province of the People's Republic of China and is part of the North China region. The capital and largest city of the province is Taiyuan, while its next most populated prefecture-level cities are Changzhi and Datong. Its one-character abbreviation is "" (), after the state of Jin that existed there during the Spring and Autumn period. The name ''Shanxi'' means "West of the Mountains", a reference to the province's location west of the Taihang Mountains. Pan Zili
Pan Zili () (May 1904 – May 22, 1972) was a People's Republic of China diplomat and politician. He was born in Hua County, Shaanxi. Early life Pan Zili was born in Zaoyuan Village, Huaxian County, Shaanxi Province. At the age of 17, he joined the artillery battalion of the Shaanxi Mixed Brigade. He enrolled in the Xianlin Middle School the following year. He was influenced by the early revolutionaries of Shaanxi, such as Wei Yechu and Wang Fusheng, and joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in 1923. After the May 30th Movement broke out in 1925, Pan Zili organized youths to participate in anti-imperialist demonstrations; afterwards, he was instructed by the CCP to conduct youth and military movements in Shaanxi and Henan. Northeast China
Northeast China or Northeastern China () is a geographical region of China, which is often referred to as "Manchuria" or "Inner Manchuria" by surrounding countries and the West. Hebei
Hebei or , (; alternately Hopeh) is a northern province of China. Hebei is China's sixth most populous province, with over 75 million people. Shijiazhuang is the capital city. The Eighth Route Army (), officially known as the 18th Group Army of the National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China, was a group army under the command of the Chinese Communist Party, nominally within the structure of the Chinese military headed by the Chinese Nationalist Party during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Eighth Route Army was created from the Chinese Red Army on September 22, 1937, when the Chinese Communists and Chinese Nationalists formed the Second United Front against Japan at the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, as the Chinese theater was known in World War II.
