Tina Monzon-Palma
María Cristina Mapa Monzón-Palma (born María Cristina Mapa Monzón on March 29, 1951 in Manila), popularly known as Tina Monzón-Palma (), is a Filipina broadcast journalist and anchorwoman. She is best known as a late night news presenter in various Philippine television news programs in different television networks. She became GMA Network's first female news presenter and pioneered its Public Affairs department during her term as GMA News executive. She later transferred to ABC-5 (now TV5) to head its operations. When she left the company after five years, she led ABS-CBN's public service campaign against child abuse under the network's Bantay Bata social welfare program. Eventually, she became the anchor of ABS-CBN's late news program ''The World Tonight'' where she replaced Loren Legarda. Originally anchored by Mike Lacanilao, Rene Jose and Helen Vela, it premiered on May 19, 1986 replacing '' News at Seven''. In 1995, it was moved to weekday mornings and was reformatted as a morning news show. Lacanilao, Veronica Baluyot, Lyn Ching-Pascual, Alex Tinsay and Arnold Clavio served as the final anchors. Amado Pineda
Amado Pineda (May 5, 1938 – August 6, 2015) was a Filipino meteorologist who became the first television weather presenter in the Philippines. A meteorologist with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Pineda worked for GMA Network's news department as the network's first weather presenter for '' News at Seven'' in 1976. He was succeeded in 1996 by Rey Pacheco for ''GMA Balita'' and ''Saksi'' and when ''GMA Headline News'' ended in 1992, Marga Ortigas for ''GMA Network News'' (the first female television weather presenter in the Philippines until 1996).
