Route 412, also known as Seal Cove Road, is a east–west highway on the Baie Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It connects the town of Seal Cove, along the community of Wild Cove (via Route 419), with Baie Verte and Route 410 (Dorset Trail). Route description Route 412 begins along the coast of White Bay in downtown Seal Cove. It winds its way east to climb a hill to leave town and passing through rural wooded areas for several kilometres, where it has an intersection with Route 419 (Wild Cove Road). The highway passes through more wooded areas to enter Baie Verte and it comes to an end at an intersection with Route 410 at the southwestern edge of town. Baie Verte ( 2021 Population 1,311) is a town located on the north coast of the island portion of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador on the Baie Verte Peninsula. The French named the area for its greenness, "green bay." Geography Baie Verte is one of 42 communities that make up the Emerald Zone which is located in the North Central portion of Newfoundland. Baie Verte dates to the late 19th century, but remained a small village until the discovery of asbestos and other ore bodies of copper, lead, zinc and gold in the mid-1950s when the town underwent major expansion. The Baie Verte Peninsula is a large peninsula on the north central coast of the island of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Route 419, also known as Wild Cove Road, is a short north–south highway on the Baie Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It leads from Sheppardville, at Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway), to a dead end in Fleur de Lys, Newfoundland and Labrador.
