The New Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition (NRSV-CE) is a translation of the Bible closely based on the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) but including the deuterocanonical books and adapted for the use of Catholics with the approval of the Catholic Church. An Anglicized Text form of the NRSV-CE, embodying the preferences of users of British English, is also available from various publishers. Contents It contains all the canonical books of Scripture accepted by the Catholic Church arranged in the traditional Catholic order. Thus, all the deuterocanonical books of the Old Testament are returned to their traditional Catholic order: the books of Tobit and Judith are placed between Nehemiah and Esther, the books of 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees are placed immediately after Esther, the books of Wisdom and Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) are placed after the Song of Songs, and the book of Baruch (including the Letter of Jeremiah as Baruch chapter 6) is placed after Lamentations. ...

Psalm 151
Psalm 151 is a short psalm found in most copies of the Septuagint (LXX), but not in the Masoretic Text of the Hebrew Bible. The title given to this psalm in the Septuagint indicates that it is supernumerary, as no number is affixed to it. The psalm is ascribed to David. It is also included in some manuscripts of the Peshitta. The psalm concerns the story of David and Goliath. 3 Maccabees, el, Μακκαβαίων Γ´, translit=Makkabaíōn 3 also called the Third Book of Maccabees, is a book written in Koine Greek, likely in the 1st century BC in Roman Egypt. Despite the title, the book has nothing to do with the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucid Empire described in 1 Maccabees and 2 Maccabees. Instead it tells the story of persecution of the Jews under Pharaoh Ptolemy IV Philopator (222–205 BC) in Ptolemaic Egypt, some decades before the Maccabee uprising in Judea. The protocanonical books are those books of the Old Testament that are also included in the Hebrew Bible (the Tanakh) and that came to be considered canonical during the formational period of orthodox Christianity. The Old Testament is entirely rejected by some forms of Gnosticism, but the Hebrew Bible was adhered to even more tightly by Jewish Christians than Gentile Christians.
