FC Neftchi Fergana ( uz, Neftchi Fargʻona futbol klubi, Uzbek Cyrillic: Нефтчи Фарғона футбол клуби) is an Uzbek football club based in Fergana. They play in the top division in Uzbekistani football and are multiple champions of Uzbekistan. History Neftchi was founded 1962 and appeared in the Soviet Second League (Central Asian Division) from 1962 to 1991 under the name ''Neftyanik Fergana''. In 1990, the club advanced to the Soviet First League, winning Soviet Second League, conference ''East''. In 1991 Soviet First League ''Neftchi'' ranked at 7th place which was club's highest achievement in Soviet football history. Since 1992, the club has been playing in the Uzbek League, and along with Pakhtakor Tashkent and Navbahor Namangan, continuously participated in all seasons of the Uzbek League without a break. Istiqlol Stadium
file:OldTaboshar1.jpg, 220px, Old Istiqlol Istiqlol (russian: Истиклол; tg, Истиқлол, formerly Taboshar) is a city in Tajikistan, located in Sughd Region. Istiqlol is a city of regional subordination, administratively subordinated to the regional capital of Khujand. The first Soviet uranium mine was established in Taboshar during the Second World War. Taboshar was the first of many officially secret Soviet closed cities related to uranium mining and production. In 2022, a contract was agreed for a subsidiary of TVEL to reclaim land on the tailings dump, which contains of material. The population of Istiqlol in 2020 is estimated at 17,600. 1993 Uzbek League
The 1993 Uzbek League season was the 2nd edition of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence from the Soviet Union in 1992. Neftchi Farg'ona once again won the league and the championship outright this time after previously sharing with Pakhtakor Tashkent the season before. On winning the championship, Nefchi also qualified for the next edition of the AFC Champions League, the first time a club side from Uzbekistan would play in AFC competitions. They would also enter the 1994 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup a competition for former members of the Soviet Union. Pakhtakor Tashkent won the 1993 Uzbek Cup and would take their place in the 1994–95 Asian Cup Winners' Cup. Dinamo Samarqand and Kushon Kosonsoy were relegated. Sergey Lebedev (footballer)
Sergey Elefertovich Lebedev (russian: Сергей Элефертович Лебедев) (born 31 January 1969 in the Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union) is a retired football midfielder. Lebedev is a former Uzbekistani international, who obtained a total number of 33 caps during his career, scoring ten goals. He later became a football coach. Playing career Lebedev started playing professionally in ''Turbina Naberezhnye Chelny'' in 1985. He completed 3 seasons for ''Turbina'' and wento to FC Dynamo Kirov in 1988. In 1989–91 he played for Neftyanik Fergana and 1990 he won Soviet Second League with club and promoted to Soviet First League. Ravshan Bozorov (born 10 May 1968) is a former footballer and trainer from Uzbekistan. He played in the position of forward. Bozorov is one of the best top goalscorers in the history of uzbek football with 316 goals in all tournaments and various leagues. Playing career He started his career in 1985 at ''Surkhon Termiz'' which played one of the regional zones of Soviet Second League. Bozorov played from 1986 to 1989 for ''Surkhon''.
