Nea Sinasos
Nea Sinasos (Greek: Νέα Σινασός) is a village in the northern part of the island of Euboea in Greece. It is situated northeast of Istiaia, on the road to Artemisio. It was founded in the mid-1920s by refugees originating from Sinasos (present Mustafapaşa near Ürgüp) in Cappadocia. Central Greece (region)
Central Greece ( el, Περιφέρεια Στερεάς Ελλάδας, translit=Periféria Stereás Elládhas, , colloquially known as Ρούμελη (''Roúmeli'')) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. The region occupies the eastern half of the traditional Geographic regions of Greece, region of Central Greece, including the island of Euboea. Euboea ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Εύβοιας) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the administrative region of Central Greece. It consists of the islands of Euboea and Skyros, as well as a 260 km² area on the Greek mainland. Istiaia ( el, Ιστιαία, , before 1913: Ξηροχώρι - ''Xirochori''2.537 Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Istiaia-Aidipsos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 181.299 km2. At the 2011 census the population was 7,091 for the municipal unit and 5,522 for the community. The town is located in the northwestern end of the island Euboea, 5 km from the north coast, and north of the mountain Telethrio. It was the capital of Istiaia Province until its abolishment in 2006. Mustafapaşa, Nevşehir
Mustafapaşa, formerly known as Sinasos (Greek: Σινασός), is a small town in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir province, Turkey. At it lies to the west of Gomeda valley and is away from Ürgüp and away from Nevşehir town. In 2011 its population was 3,000. The Mustafa Paşa after whom the modern town is named was Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the great war leader and first president of Turkey. Like most of Cappadocia, Mustafapaşa used to depend for a living on agriculture., especially grape-growing. However, it lies within the region of Cappadocia, and increasingly depends on tourism for its living with new hotels opening all the time.
