Nazmul Islam
Mohammad Nazmul Islam (born 21 March 1991), also known as Nazmul Apu is a Bangladeshi first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricketer and former international cricketer. Nazmul is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spin bowler. Domestic career Nazmul has played for Dhaka Division in the National Cricket League (NCL). He has represented his country playing for Bangladesh A and at under-23 level. In the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), he has played for both East Zone and South Zone. In October 2018, Nazmul was named in the squad for the Rangpur Riders team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Sylhet Thunder in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League. National Cricket League (Bangladesh)
The National Cricket League is the oldest domestic first-class cricket competition in Bangladesh. It is contested by teams representing seven of the eight regional divisions of Bangladesh (there is no team from Mymensingh Division) as well as a team from the Dhaka metropolitan area. History and format The National Cricket League was inaugurated in the 1999–2000 season but was not then first-class. Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of Finger spin, left-arm finger spin bowling (cricket), bowling in the sport of cricket. In cricket, batting is the act or skill of hitting the ball with a bat to score runs and prevent the loss of one's wicket. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. Cricket At The 2010 South Asian Games
Cricket was included for the first time at the 2010 South Asian Games, hosted by Dhaka, Bangladesh. A men's Twenty20, 20-over tournament was played from 31 January to 7 February 2010. The tournament was contested by five of the eight members of the South Asian Games, South Asian Sports Council, with squads restricted to players aged 21 or under. 2010 South Asian Games
The 2010 South Asian Games, officially the XI South Asian Games, was a major multi-sport event that took place from 29 January to 8 February 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This was the third time that the Bangladeshi capital hosted the South Asian Games, thus becoming the first city to hold the games three times. Roughly 2000 athletes from eight countries competed at the games in 23 different sports.
