Nationalist People's Movement
The Nationalist People's Movement ( nl, Nationalistische Volks Beweging, NVB) was a far-right political organization in the Netherlands. Chairman of the group was , who was previously active for the Centre Party '86. The NVB was founded in 2006 as a split from the National Alliance, likewise a right-wing extremist organization. The NVB's name, logo and mottoes resembled those of the collaborationist National Socialist Movement of World War II. According to the General Intelligence and Security Service, the NVB "virtually disappeared from the scene" in 2008. Activities The group claimed it focused on preserving and protecting the Dutch language and culture on the basis of European identity and Christian norms and values. ''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. Jaap Nunes Vaz also became involved with the newspaper. In 1944, the paper, albeit illegal and vigorously persecuted, reached a circulation of approximately 100,000, and it was distributed by the Dutch resistance. Neo-Nazism comprises the post–World War II militant, social, and political movements that seek to revive and reinstate Nazi ideology. Neo-Nazis employ their ideology to promote hatred and racial supremacy (often white supremacy), attack racial and ethnic minorities (often antisemitism and Islamophobia), and in some cases to create a fascist state. Westermoskee (; tr, Ayasofya Camii; en, Western Mosque) is a mosque located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is situated on the bank of the canalized river Schinkel in the Chassébuurt in De Baarsjes in the borough of Amsterdam-West. With a floor surface of 800 m2 and a capacity of 1700 people, it is the largest mosque in the Netherlands. The F-side is a Dutch football hooligan group associated with AFC Ajax. The name came from the stand in Ajax' former stadium De Meer Vak F. Background The F-side was founded in 1976. The biggest rivalry was between the F-side and Vak S of Feyenoord. The F-side has also many clashes with the North Side of ADO Den Haag and the Bunnikside of FC Utrecht. After the infamous Staafincident ( Iron bar incident ) in 1989 Ajax took measures. After a very high fence was installed in front of the F-side's traditional seating in Vak F, the F-side decided to move to Vak M, next to the stand for away supporters. De Baarsjes () is a district ( nl, wijk) in Amsterdam-West situated west of the city center of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Named after a former hamlet, urban development started in the 1920s.
