National Road 91 (Poland)
Droga krajowa nr 91 (translates from Polish as ''national road 91'') is a route belonging to Polish national roads network. It runs from the seaport in Gdańsk to Częstochowa, and goes through the Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Łódź and Silesian Voivodeships. Since this route was renumbered from DK1, it is frequently referred as "stara jedynka" (eng. "old one"). National road 91 is the alternative road for A1 motorway (partially tolled). Pomeranian Voivodeship
Pomeranian Voivodeship, Pomorskie Region, or Pomerania Province (Polish: ''Województwo pomorskie'' ; ( Kashubian: ''Pòmòrsczé wòjewództwò'' ), is a voivodeship, or province, in northwestern Poland. The provincial capital is Gdańsk. The voivodeship was established on January 1, 1999, out of the former voivodeships of Gdańsk, Elbląg and Słupsk, pursuant to the Polish local government reforms adopted in 1997. It is bordered by West Pomeranian Voivodeship to the west, Greater Poland and Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeships to the south, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship to the east, and the Baltic Sea to the north. Kamieńsk
Kamieńsk () is a town in Poland, in the Łódź Voivodeship, in Radomsko County. As of 2020, it had 2,703 inhabitants. There is an airport named Kamieńsk-Orla Góra in Kamieńsk mainly used for agricultural purposes. History The settlement was first mentioned in a document dated 1291. It received its town charter in 1374. The settlement lost its status as a town in 1870 but regained it in 1994. Over its history the town has been known as ''Canisko, Camiesko, Kamińsko, Kamiensko'' and ''Kamińsk''. The spelling Kamieńsk has been used since 1918. Jewish community Before the Second World War and the Holocaust the town was a shtetl. Jews began to settle in Kamieńsk in the 18th Century. Expressway S8 (Poland)
Expressway S8 or express road S8, officially named The Route of the Heroes of the Battle of Warsaw 1920 ( pl. ''droga ekspresowa S8'', ''Trasa Bohaterów Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r.'') is a major road in Poland which connects Wrocław via Łódź and Warsaw to Białystok. Its fragment forming the bypass of Wrocław (22.7 km) is constructed in motorway standard and marked as A8 instead. The whole road is long. Construction of its last fragment finished in October 2019. The construction was part of the European Union's plan to fund express roads in Poland. In September 2019, it was announced that an extension of S8 from Wrocław to Kłodzko was added to the plans and will be constructed in the future. Świecie
Świecie (; german: Schwetz) is a town in northern Poland with 25,968 inhabitants (2006), situated in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (since 1999); it was in Bydgoszcz Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. It is the capital of Świecie County. Expressway S6 (Poland)
Expressway S6 (in Polish ''droga ekspresowa S6'') is a major road in Poland which has been planned to run from the A6 autostrada in Szczecin, through Goleniów in West Pomerania to Gdańsk parallel to the Baltic coast, forming the main connection between Gdańsk and Szczecin. The first section of S6 built was the '' Obwodnica Trójmiejska'' ( Tricity Bypass) from Gdańsk to Gdynia, which is long, followed by the section between Szczecin and Goleniów, both in the 1970s. The next part of S6 to be opened was bypass of Słupsk that was completed in October 2010. The bypass of Nowogard was completed in December 2011, with the rest of the section between Szczecin and Koszalin open by 2019. In July 2010, the route between Goleniów and Słupsk was finalised. Rusocin (german: Russoschin) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pruszcz Gdański, within Gdańsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.
