Expressway S6 (Poland)
Expressway S6 (in Polish ''droga ekspresowa S6'') is a major road in Poland which has been planned to run from the A6 autostrada in Szczecin, through Goleniów in West Pomerania to Gdańsk parallel to the Baltic coast, forming the main connection between Gdańsk and Szczecin. The first section of S6 built was the ''Obwodnica Trójmiejska'' ( Tricity Bypass) from Gdańsk to Gdynia, which is long, followed by the section between Szczecin and Goleniów, both in the 1970s. The next part of S6 to be opened was bypass of Słupsk that was completed in October 2010. The bypass of Nowogard was completed in December 2011, with the rest of the section between Szczecin and Koszalin open by 2019. In July 2010, the route between Goleniów and Słupsk was finalised. National Road 6 (Poland)
National Road 6 ( pl, Droga krajowa 6, abbreviated DK 6) is a route belonging to the Polish national roads network. The route is in the north of Poland and runs from the German border, in Kołbaskowo- Nadrensee, to Łęgowo for 351 km. The route runs through the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and the Pomeranian Voivodeship; it is important for transportation between the two largest agglomerations in northern Poland, Szczecin and the Tricity. The National Road 6 runs from Kołbaskowo and ends in Łęgowo, near Pruszcz Gdański, on the roundabout with the National Road 91. Dual Carriageway
A dual carriageway ( BE) or divided highway ( AE) is a class of highway with carriageways for traffic travelling in opposite directions separated by a central reservation (BrE) or median (AmE). Roads with two or more carriageways which are designed to higher standards with controlled access are generally classed as motorways, freeways, etc., rather than dual carriageways. A road without a central reservation is a single carriageway regardless of the number of lanes. Dual carriageways have improved road traffic safety over single carriageways and typically have higher speed limits as a result. Koszalin
Koszalin (pronounced ; csb, Kòszalëno; formerly german: Köslin, ) is a city in northwestern Poland, in Western Pomerania. Nowogard
Nowogard () ( csb, Nowògard; formerly german: Naugard) is a town in northwestern Poland, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. it had a population of 16,733. Name ''Nowogard'' is a combination of two Slavic terms: novi (new) and gard, which is Pomeranian for ''town'', ''city'', or ''fortified settlement''. In this capacity, the term gard (or gôrd) is still being used in the only surviving variation of the Pomeranian language, Kashubian.
